my Physics undergrad in a nutshell: first I was just amazed about the topic and did relatively well, I just loved solving exercise sheets then hearing about active recall, and.. I started spending all my time on trying to use these things- I stopped looking at the beauty of the subject and used rote learning strats for the absolutely worst subject for this. I just tried to make rotelearning anki work, without any results, and I lost all my interest in physics now in grad school it's basically relearning it all properly, and having fun again my takeaway: if its fun, its already alright
