In this Jonah Hill's documentary called Stutz, he shares 9 tools that his therapist Phil Stutz has shared with him. Jonah Hill made this documentary in order to share with people the tools he learned from Stutz that have fundamentally changed his life.

The beginning of the documentary was so confusing as it was filmed toward the end of the documentary. Hence that wig Hill was wearing. Viewers will have to plow through that and then they will stumble upon a mental health improvement treasure. 😊

Thanks for this video, it's very appreciated. Helpful summary of the tools & such which were shared in the movie. I didn't quite understand the Loss Processing method though, what's the purpose of visualizing yourself falling into a sun & then seeing other suns? I found this method difficult to relate to, and I didn't quite understand what was to be accomplished by the visualization prompts... 🤷🏽‍♂️ Any help with this... ?

This is one I don't have experience. I'm privileged in the sense that I've lost few people close to me so I haven't had the chance to try this...luckily. my thoughts are that even when you lose someone or when you die yourself, you are still surrounded by those you love. Personally...and this may sound weird...but I occasionally take the time to feel out what it would feel like to lose a parent, my brother, my wife, etc. What would that feel like? What would I do? How would I cope? I see this as a way to at least prepare yourself for the unevitable thinking that this may not put me in AS MUCH of a shock so I don't completely shut down and lose myself. Like I said, haven't lost many so not sure this a great method but I think for me, it will be helpful. I could easily be wrong. I could also see this method I do as very anxiety inducing for some so I don't necessarily recommend it. I hope this helps

@@socialanxietykyle I do understand what you mean. Thanks for the detailed reply. As u mentioned it... Your use of loss visualization exercises that you put yourself through... What would you say is the important step after the imagined loss (or worse case scenario). I'm asking as I believe to catastrophize is easy, but being able to accept & cope with the imagined experience (worst case scenario) is where the wisdom & growth are to be gained. What's your process for making this a useful practice versus an anxiety inducing one?

Great documentary! But it's not easy to implement the tools if you have clinical depression such as major depressive disorder and bipolar.
