This is so true about niche selection! I did about 3-4 niches that I liked and knew well, then I just pulled up a list of all jobs and all hobbies. I go down that list alphabetically and make designs for all the major/relevant jobs and hobbies. Currently on occupations that start with the letter D lol. You can burn through niches quickly if you shoot for 25 designs a day (sometimes I don't reach that but I try). Also applying for amazon associates this weekend, wish me luck!

I opened a teespring, and I'm having an issue with not receiving my profits in my payout section. The first two items I was able to collect from, but the rest I can't. It says I have profits in the analytics, but they won't show up in the payouts. What is going on??

Right on! Merch by Amazon has a daily limit on the account until you tier up by getting more sales. In the beginning, it's just 1 design per day. Teespring has a much higher limit.

Hi Greg, Lets say I have a teespring store front that has a positive trust score, and I decide to create a few more store fronts targeting different niches, do the have to establish thier own trust scores from scratch, or, seeing as its under the same user account, do they get grandfathered in though the trust score aquired on my original store front?

Excellent question! The trust score is account wide. This means that once you get a trust score, it affects everything on your account, so you do not have to get individual trust scores for new campaigns or storefronts.

@@GregGottfried I have noticed TeeSpring recently changed their strategy, and the are not allowing the use of multiple storefronts per account anymore. After having spoken with the customer service, they will soon introduce the ability to make collections inside the storefront. But unfortunately, if you still want to create another store to host a niche, you will have to create a new TeeSpring account, and thus validate the trust process again.

Thanks for another great video Greg! I am completely new to Teespring but watched all your videos to get started. But when I am create a product for a new listing in my store and add the additional products, all the products seem to appear as separate listings in my store. And that looks very repetitive as you said. How do I get, for example, the hoodie and tank top, not to appear as separate items from the t-shirt, as soon as you click into my store? Thanks a lot!

Thank you for the comment! It's pretty glitchy right now as they are updating the storefronts. However, if you go to storefronts, edit icon in the corner of the storefront thumbnail, products, add products, you should be able to uncheck the extra variants. I hope that helps for now!

I started a niche storefront and acquired my trust score. Then just flooded that storefront with a variety of other niches, because my impression was that storefronts don't matter once their advertising kicks in. Was this a mistake? Great question! Yes you can however if someone else has uploaded the same design before you, yours will be taken down as a duplicate. That's the main issue, but if you are customizing the design further, then you will be fine :)

Thanks for asking! I don't know if it's a matter of use, as a matter of consistency. I would focus on your designs and make sure that they are as good or better than the other designs in your niche. Sometimes this can be the hardest part to be honest with, because we all think that our designs are great, but being 100% truthful when comparing them to other designs in the niche is what's really required to make sure that you were designs are good enough to be bought. Assuming you were doing everything else in the process, I would focus on the designs and continue what you are doing. I hope that helps! There's no easy way to do this right now but a quick google search and teespring marketplace search will give you a good idea if there is anything just like it already. My rule of thumb is to always customize your designs how you like them and put your personal touches on them. This way, the more customized your design, the less chance someone has made something just like it before you.

Hi Greg! I started my storefront about a month ago, I’ve driven traffic and I made several sales (over 15). I’ve also collected the profits through PayPal from Teespring... yet I don’t think I have a trust score yet. I cannot find my shirts in the general marketplace and it’s apparent that my views have only increased due to my own efforts. So I really don’t understand what else is needed to get a trust score after doing all of that. I think we need to have visibility as sellers using this platform. We, at a minimum, need to know that we aren’t being held back from getting the benefits of using Teespring. Otherwise. It makes more sense to just use other platforms and let them advertise for us. Please let me know if you have any tips or comments. Thank you for your awesome content, as you are the one person that we’ve chosen to follow and get advice.

Thanks for asking Josettte! It sounds like you have made the quota but just need to give the system some more time to start showing your designs in the marketplace. They work on such a large scale that every part of the process takes "buffering" time to update. I would just give it some time and continue doing what you are doing in the meantime. Also, I would add your designs to Merch by Amazon and Redbubble in the meantime just to get extra lines in the water.

I’ve yet to have one sale after a week on there and while 15 isn’t a ton for a month- it’s something to accomplish without any of your designs being searchable! Melina Stroumpis Hi... I think that we just need to be a bit more patient (which is extremely hard). It’s been 2 1/2 months now since we started, but again, I have to remind myself that it’s not really very long. And we have about 30 designs, which I also know isn’t nearly enough (and we focus on design which takes longer to churn out). So basically, it sounds like you are on the same pace as us. I feel like we only started to get Teespring traffic (resulting from the trust score) recently and it’s VERY small. We are getting about 10 views a day in our store. I know Greg has a video in which he talks about one of the biggest mistakes is just giving up too soon. It takes time for all the components to start working. Yes, I’ve definitely been frustrated and it seems like others are doing much better. My initial sales happened due to timing... our local sports team was going to the championships, so we put out 5 designs (even though it wasn’t our normal niche). But local people saw it on FB and wanted to support their team. So Greg’s point was proven there too... it’s all about timing. Best of luck... just keep going.

Thanks for your videos Greg, they inspired me to start making t-shirts and It's become a family thing, my kids love it too. My question is, how can I ensure bright colorful designs on my shirts? I ordered 5 designs on 7product samples and the print is so faded. No vibrance at all on any shirts. I designed my products with place it, and Canva so I'm using their color palette choises... Any tips for this problem?

Thanks for asking! That's a really good question. Teespring says "their printers use an RGB workflow so if bright/saturated colors is your goal, then use RGB. Just note that printers do have a limited color gamut and it is not possible to reproduce every single color-for example we don’t recommend using overly bright colors like neons. If color accuracy is your main priority, then the CMYK color space is recommended." I hope that bit of information is helpful!

Hi Greg. I always check google for copyright. All my designs are my own. I have at least 80 designs on Teespring following your method. I did a design for wives of naval marines. Checked all the military web sites and discovered there was no issue as long as I did not use their emblems. I uploaded my designs and received a copy write warning from Teespring. I was shocked. According to Teespring this was because a watchmaker who registered the name naval marine . 1) I guess i have damaged my trust score. Which is a big pity because i began to have a few sales. I could understand if I used Nike or Disney but this was incredibly obscure, especially as I live in Ireland. I still cannot find it searching on Google. 2) I am now concerned. If I spend 1-5 years building up a Teespring hosted business what happens in the future? For me if this worked i would concentrate on it totally. So the risk is huge. 3) Do you know of any site that can guide me 100 percent so I can avoid trademarks infringements? I emailed Teespring but it seems it is a big company with very little support. Seems that the only way to be sure of an unbroken future is to develop ones own brand and labelling on Shopify / Printful. Any thoughts?

Thanks for asking and for sharing this event! My first thoughts are that this was a very rare occurrence.. Typically the only time that designs get removed from using something like this, is when there was a company name or obvious trademark in the description that was missed by the uploader. It is very uncommon to see a copyright or trademark owner doing a search and reporting a design like yours, on a seemingly obscure copyright. I wish there were a simple way to check for protected items, but as of right now there is not. Again I think your situation was very rare, and is not going to be a common occurrence. A couple good notes are that if you have questions regarding copyright or trademark infringement, you can email [e-mail], and additionally Teespring has a automated system to remove potentially protected designs, and it is often wrong so if you see that one of your designs was taken down and you didn't do not think it was correct, you can email them and they will investigate. There will always be inherent risk for any online business, and I think the copyright and trademark is likely the largest risk factor for print on demand, however in the years that I've been building my business I haven't run into any notable issues, and looking back I would absolutely have done it again. Playing it on the safe side is always going to be my recommendation, and it's for your stated reason that I always recommend it. I hope that helps!

Thanks for the comment! As far as posting on Teespring, I was doing up to 50 per day at my peak :) I don't know if there is a daily limit but I never hit it. Your posts on IG will go out to the entire world, not just India, so you can get your items in front of people in all different countries (Teespring will do the currency conversion for you). Hello Greg. Thanks for all your content and all your tips. I do have a question for you regarding tee spring and especially PlaceIt. I am wondering how to print exactly as the Placeit mockups shown. Which of the POD platform can offer the same quality printing ( printing area ) than PlaceIt models? I'm talking about the "photo" printing where the design does absolutely not fit as it is shown on PlaceIt. I'm not sure if it's very clear. Thanks for for your help :) Do you think PlaceIt will also become a POD platform and will offer the same results on items as a photo has shown?

I dont think Placeit will become a POD site because they are more build around the designs and mockups. They used to be integrated with Teespring to make it easier, but no longer. My best advice is to use the crop feature on Placeit to make the designs match up the closest you can to the print on-demand sites. I hope that helps!

Wait, does trust score not matter at all if I just plan on running ads on social media? Or is the trust score mandatory? Or is it just really helpful? Do you need to pay for the marketing? Like do you need the weird premium feature? And when you say it “takes from the profit” does that mean that it raises the base cost of the product for each sale? (So instead of it costing $10 for a shirt it raises the cost for me to $15) Sorry for all the questions, good video though

Thanks for asking Susan! Tags are being phased out so no need to use them anymore :) Prices will be able to be changed in a coming update but currently you have to send an email to [e-mail] with the listing URL and the desired price change. I hope that helps!

Hey Greg, awesome video again! I have a question : I've started multiple campaigns some weeks ago. But when I'm searching for them on teespring they aren't in the search result? But I can see them in my storefront. Has that something to do with the trustscore on teespring.? Because on other sites the designs get listed immediatly. Cheers

No problem at all! That's a good question. When you have a new account on Teespring, it's normal for the campaigns to not show in the marketplace for a few days or even a few weeks. This is because you haven't built up your trust score yet on Teespring. The way to build the trust score is by getting sales on your account and staying away from copyright infringement. I always recommend using social media and storefronts to get the first few sales a build the trust score, here's a video kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4jViWmneZx6brc if you need some help with that. But no worries this is just because it's a new Teespring account!

I'm hoping to do drum covers soonish, and to build a bit of a following over time on youtube. Greg, I think I made a mistake. I've made a few small sales and was getting a few views daily. Based on some past videos I started wondering if my trust score was low because I had a shop for politically based shirts and another shop for hemp related shirts. I thought maybe these could be "objectionable" and hurting my score so I closed the shops. I haven't had a view anywhere since I closed them. I also had not had any sales in either of them Does closing shops hurt your score? I still have others open. Thanks!

Thanks for asking about this! Closing a storefront has no effect on your trust score. I am not sure if your previous shirts affected your trust score, it's hard to tell. Were any of your previous shirts removed by Teespring? My advice for you would be to reach out to Teespring at [e-mail] and see if they can give you a bit more information on your account. Do you ever think it is worth it to put designs on a website? For example since i am all over on teespring, DBH, Merch By Amazon and many more. Does it make sense to use shopify? I am not a "designer" per say but my punny shirts are taking off. I would rebrand under a new name. As all those other sites have different names associated with them anyway. Put my effort into one place and use that 1 instagram account instead of the 4 i have now. Any Feedback would be great.

Thanks or asking! I 100% think it's best to put the designs on all of the separate sites. I recommend Teespring, Merch by Amazon, and RedBubble because those are the biggest sales generators for me. I recommend this because they will all market your designs for you rather than you being responsible to do all the marketing yourself. I hope that helps!

I'm okay about that and have created a new listing with the same design and new description, but mostly interested in my trust score.

Hi Greg, I have a few stores on Teespring that are a couple of years old that had no sales. Question is should I delete these and start new or update the old ones in light of any changes that were made by Teespring during that time.

Hello! The most important question I have! If you help, I will be very grateful. Why on the site tesspring my products are not in the search? On all topics there is, but not my product. Already experimented a lot, the result is negative. I am silent about searching on Google. All tags and description are optimized, I use Google Trends and Keywordtools. I also find popular topics in the United States. There were also no sales. The strange truth is that they have a system there, and now I am promoting my account on pinterest. It's a shame if pinterest get free traffic to them on the site, and my sales will remain in place. I am a designer by profession, I am considering a platform for additional income. Hello Greg I follow all your videos and I have started my teespring and red bubble accounts. Can you please make a video on copyright infringement? For example, I am a graphic designer who uses his own photos but sometimes I use photos from Pixabay and turn them into B/W drawings. I do this by desaturating the photos and then tracing them on photoshop filling only the blacks part then I add either shapes filters and other design effects. Then I add some text with font I either get from dafont or canva. This process lasts for hours, Each imagne is a lot of work. My question is, can this be done? Normaly the photo does not resemble the original but still i don't want to be taken out of the site. I am only beginning this process and believe me If I had the money I would pay for your courses and one on one service... maybe in the future. I do respect your work since you are one of the few that actually is trustworthy. Keep on the good work bro i hope you reply my message!

How reliable are such banks and can you use their services from any point of the world? Thanks for asking! Ally is just one of the online banks (there are a ton out there) and Ally is FDIC insured so it is as legitimate as it gets. I don't know about the worldwide availability, however some of the other options out there certainly have more worldwide options. I believe Wealthfront is another great option, FDIC insured as well, and possibly more worldwide availability. I'd check out what's offered in your area and make sure that they have a good level of credibility and insurance. I hope that helps!

In regards to the payment methods, you can make sales anywhere in the world and you only have to connect the payment option that is based on where you are located. If PayPal is available where you were located, you can absolutely use that, and the same for Payoneer. I hope that helps!
