If I can get these cars PLOWING tight now, it feels much faster for me personally. If you tell the difference between tires gripping, and tires spinning in the sound it makes a huge difference.

Try adding steering offset +4 -+8 depending on track. This has helped me a lot b

Here in south Carolina we don't use Hoosier dirt track tires we run highway car tires on the dirt tracks here

I found this video looking for dirt oval tips in general. I am relatively new to dirt and I'm practicing midgets. I come from a drifting background and I am struggling to change habits of wanting to have big sideways angles through the corners. I'm about to run some more laps and using a significant amount less throttle. I know these drive almost completely opposite as midgets do, but I definitely needed help with throttle work and being too sideways.

Would it be similar with the sprintcars with backing down the throttle to gain lap time l noticed in the 305s where the cars are fixed most people are full throttle but sometimes it makes the car too loose
@UKFanatic973 жыл бұрын
If you're in the slick, yes. Most people oversteer the 305s and that's why they're loose.

@@UKFanatic97 I use to love the 305s but it seems like I get blown away even on a fresh track unless it's cedar lake or eldora or William'sgrove them 3 tracks love me for some reason

@@calebleach4658 They're mainly what I race the most. Fairbury is the only track I hate them on.

My problem is even though I know and understand the information your talking about, it's frustrating that I feel like I'm doing things like making sure to use good throttle control and hitting good lines but it's to avoid collisions which for the most seems to be a common goal amongst the other drivers but they seem to have others tools or knowledge or advantages or experience or skill that I'm lacking so here I am😂😂😂

Why would you restrict the engine
@TommyBrandon3 жыл бұрын
When it's super slick, it can be more beneficial to restrict the motor. You still have plenty of power and speed but way less wheel spin. It does depend on the track state though. For this video, I was just trying to prove the point of throttle control.
