Things i try to tell my friends. - know when you take a fight -know when to back out Positioning is important for this cause you dont wanna push so deep that you HAVE to fight. You need to be ready and able to back up a bit (like from a third party or the team you are pushing is too good/in a better position) or back out completely and retreat. Know when you are beat and gtfo. Know when they are on weak and push them hard.

My biggest problem is getting random teammates that run head first into a full squad solo and get wiped then just spam their banner. Like if you want to spam you shouldn’t have made the dumb decision to run in thinking you were your favorite streamer. I think I have good game awareness and when to pick fights and when not to and I can win most gun fights. I solo’d to Plat and most of the randoms I get are people that got carried to plat.

Reasons why I see people getting stuck in platinum: 1) not using mics 2) not getting to the next zone early enough 3) wasting too much time looting 4) picking the wrong fights 5) separating from the team and trying to pick fights solo 6) not knowing when to leave banners[example enemy team is camping your banners] 7) doing unsafe revives 8) not paying attention to the surrounding areas when dropping from the ship 9) hot dropping and losing RP due to your entire squad being wiped out 10) team composition 11) knowing when to leave a fight....especially if it's taking too long to end

That’s the difference in higher skilled players and lower skilled it’s not necessarily that they can’t kill higher skilled people it’s the decision making and thought process which makes the difference. Too many dumb players who don’t have that knowledge like the things you listed there so many variables to consider when your playing to win in ranked 1 wrong move could fuck you and your teams games. I don’t have the best aim there’s pletnly of players that beat me in 1v1 fights and have better recoil control but the difference is I got the Apex brain and make better deceions which ensure I process and gain ponits. I’ve reached masters which is the top level in the game pred is just the top 750 of master players it’s technically the same rank and rp cost it’s just the best of master players.

@@flick2flick what rank are you at the moment, which legend do you play, Your main and back ups? I main Loba but am able to play a wide variety of legends. I will pick different legends depending who my team mates pick like if I see we don’t have a valk I will pick her if we don’t have a Gibby I pick him. Some legends just offer more team value then others especially for ranked I like having Valk,Gibby,loba,bloodhound,caustic on the team as they provide crucial information and options. When I see people picking legends like mirage,fuse,lifeline I know the game is going to be harder and likely not going to go aswell as we lack the crucial capability’s the legends I listed above provide. Valk is essential for ring rotations and escaping fights and getting out of shit situations. Gibby provides that protection the faster revives in the dome faster heals rotation out in the open safely then you can also use it to push people and he has the air strike again perfect for defence and offence he’s the must have pick for high level comp which is why you always see him in the algs teams pick. Loba provides the loot if your holding a position or can’t loot a death box safetly you can just use the shop she provides ammo the whole game and gets you that needed shield bat or purple Mag better armour which can be the difference in winning fights. Bloodhound scans give you that information on there position then his ult is ultra strong for pushing teams. Caustic gas you can hold Positions and defend great for final rings and holding buildings.

If you solo q in plat you all know the pain of getting a good squad and getting so much rp maybe even winning the game then you dont find another good squad till you've lost almost all that rp you just gained. In plat just having one teammate that goes down to soon or pushes a little to hard can cost you the match 80% of the time. currently plat III and slowly climbing up. Don't be scared to rat if the fight went bad and you didnt want to lose that rp. +15 is better than -36.

Best things to do if your hard stuck that’s helped me is choosing escape legends so you can escape when needed. Wraith , Valkyrie , mirage , pathfinder etc. Play laid back and have long range weapons and short range. Get some KP and play very passive till your happy about your RP.

You won’t get pred. Those that are pred cheat and are teaming to get there and maintain the rank so unless your prepared to do that it won’t happen. Set yourself realistic goals if you have managed plat then your next goal should be diamond. I started ranked late in season 4 second split I got to plat straight away then got diamond for the next 3 seasons in a row and then got masters then another two seasons of diamond.

Not to put you down but plat is not that uncommon anymore. Most people who grind are hardstuck plat4. If you get to diamond, then you can start thunking about it but even then, its a REALLY long way to pred. Trust me, plat used to be special but is now just about average

While watching I already follow everything u said. I'm not stuck plat, in fact I was stuck gold for the longest time. I barely hit plat with 2 hrs left of season 11. After a week of season 12 being released, I instantly hit plat and now I'm plat 2. I suck at gun fights ngl but I always communicate and know weather or not to take a fight. I do ok when I'm fighting another team and sometimes I'm God. I don't go for kp all the time. I aim for early kp and if not, late kp or if I am forced to fight depending on my position and how many teams are around me

I had 3 trails x2 diamond x1 master I lost both my master and other diamond trail and only have the season 10 diamond trail now so I was annoyed to see that some people have still kept there old trails when mine where taken away. Players from the first acuople of seasons 1-3 have also kept there old trails it is being reported and I have seen in game.

Or you have a month of skill so get out of ranked. Go learn the actual game and mechanics. You have to get kills or you will end up winning a game and only get 77 RP. I was hard stuck for a long time because of the mindset you have.

When you get team mates like this unfortunately you have to play solo in order for you to progress You have to focus on making sure that you gain ponits from the game at all costs if it means leaving your team mates then that’s what you must do. The banners at the start give you an indication of there skill level and achievements if there banner looks shit then you can expect them to not do damage make poor decisions and go down in fights. 90% of the time my banner predictions have been correct I know if I am going to gain ponits or not with the team mates or if I’m going to have to play differently because I know they won’t win in a fight!

@@Phillipmamowfwifharts i wouldent go off on your own from the start try to play with them but if they are Jump master and are landing you on top of two teams or after a team has already landed then you need to detach and land somewhere safe and ping that your doing it or say on the mic. If your team mate goes down in a fight first without knocking someone or cracking a shield I would leave and exit the fight straight away as you are now facing a 2v3 and they are likely not even damaged so the Chances are you are not going to win the fight. Again just ping and say on the mic to the other team mate that you are leaving. Early fights are bad as your chances of being third partied are very high you never want to be the one starting the fight you want to be the one ending it so look to be the third party for easy kp and only fight early if you can’t get away and know you and that team are the only ones that landed in and around that area. If you win the fight it’s best not to stick around as chances are another team heard you fighting and are on the way. Someone times I won’t even loot a death box as I know that someone is showing up any second and I could be using this time to rotate and get to safety. Don’t fight for too long either bascailly you have a time limit to end the fight if it feels like it’s been going on for ages and no real change like a knock you should move on as again this will prevent you from getting fucked by another team who’s properly ready and waiting watching both you and the other team fight and waiting for there moment to come over and finish up. I’ve been playing the game everyday since season 4 and 80% of the games I’ve played has been on the ranked mode I’ve solo qued to masters before (season 8) and regularly solo to diamond very quickly every season and every spilt I mainly finish up D3 as doing solo in diamond is probsbthe hardest grind on the game cause the way the ponits work although this season they have changed it so it’s more possible then ever to grind it solo. People seem to forget it’s a battle royal so It’s as much about surviving as it is about killing other players the aim is to be the last team alive not who kills the most players! I’ve had games where we win a fight all have max kp from that fight but then they will choose to keep pushing and starting another fights rather then prioritise ring rotation and staying alive so the rp tends to just get wasted as your push one too many teams and luck will run out and your die at like 10 squads left and end up with a - game so don’t do it!

from solo queue in plat the main issue is people dont know what fights to push and when to back out. if you cant end the fight in 1 minute just back out, or 0you will get thirded

@@StorytimePublications yupp 1 is better than 2 and a full capable squad is that much better. You can't find some randoms that are decent to add? If I need more people to play with when I get in a game with someone else that has a mic in game chat and we do well I'll send them an invite and play with them for a bit and if they like it too then add each other for the future.I used to have a full set squad season 0-4 but now with just 2 of us we've added a few people that way to fill in. It's likely that your teammates are a duo or other solos so if they are someone you view as a potential squadmate send them an invite lol.

I met 1 guy during season 8 grind and we helped each other hit masters but he ain’t played the game for about two seasons he’s only just returned this season and is grinding plat and plays different times to me so I have no one. I haven’t had a single game in diamond lobby this season where my team mates even downed someone or had mics all I’ve got is them turn on mics to shout abuse and blame me for there mistakes so I have kept the mic off since.

Dude i've been telling this to randoms i play on my platinum lobby and tbh they don't listen and run like headless chicken straight into an enemy, and i told them that we should rotate cause there is another team ready to sandwhich us...... they didn't listen and went in to just get insta downed and blamed me for not coming cause i was rotating..... as soo as the enemy downed my team they got third partied......and in addition they blamed me because they lost and threatened to ban me and call me a feckin noob.....people in apex should play Pubs instead if they wanna run around like an idiot cause you've got nothing to lose in pubs.....

I dont think making it out of gold makes you a "solid good player." Anyone can make platinum with enough time i feel like by camping their way in. Platinum is where the entry fee is higher then the average points awarded per player. So you have to be better then an average platinum player to make any progress at all. I wish theyd take out bronze and silver and make gold the bottom rank. Bronze and silver just seem like a waste of time for anyone whos good enough to want to play ranked in the first place.
