One of my favorite stupid little edits in this video is when he's talking about the maps (around 24:23), and then Gabriel Ultrakill shows up out of fucking nowhere to remind the viewer (in an incredibly sentence-mixed way) that there are actually 6 maps because in the time it took for this video to come out, *the entirety of Season 3* happened. It just comes out of nowhere and I love it.

I was never into competitive fps games. My boyfriend has tried to get me into cs and valorant, but they just never appealed to me. However I saw some articles about the finals when it first launched and decided to give it a try, and fell in love instantly. Even if it doesn't have a big player base I'm always going to play it. Also the drip in this game is absolutely unmatched

There's one thing that I always tell people about The Finals, the atmosphere. It is unmatched compared to any other shooter out there (in my opinion). The crowd, the casters, the fire and rubble, and so much more that add to the feeling of playing in a The Arena. The game takes the chaos and turns it into an attraction. This game has it's flaws and it's frustrating moments, but also has those moments that make The Arena truly yours! Also amazing video, you really did a good job explaining.... almost everything in the game. Will definitely use this video as a guide to my friends who are looking to start playing this game!

I dont mind the ai voices but my only problem is that the they don't use it to the maximum extent. They can easily make so many custom voice lines that can fit to any given situation but its not and feels a bit cookie cutter. In the end of the day this game is so refreshing compared to now most competitive shooters. Really good game and amazing video. Sub truly earned.

The devs said they were experimenting with custom lines, but they haven't made much progress with it. I wouldn't hold my breath, but they are interested in that idea.

I agree with you on the AI voices. But, the way Embark does use AI is probably the best way to do it. They have the voices be trained exclusively on one voice actor each and whenever they use the AI to make new voicelines they pay the voice actors accordingly. I think that AI is decades away from being useful in terms of both the technology itself and the law/legislation preventing it from taking away people's jobs/livelihoods.

The AI voices are actually there on purpose, The Finals is located in the vr world where the tournaments and stuff are basically virtual, the lore expands much more on this. But in my opinion the AI voices add to the 'virtual' climate of the game

I dont think you did enough research into the ai voices in this game, otherwise idk why you would try to pitch ai voices as a downside when the devs literally pay the va's that the ai are trained on... btw the voices are ai for a reason. In universe, they ARE ai. Like in universe, scotty and june dont exist, just programs existing in the game. Ai is only bad when used in a bad way. The stigma is hilarious, all you need to say these days is "ai bad" and everyone is on board 😂

The only reason this game is losing players IMO, is the devs are not listening to the right group of players. Almost every top player has told them how things should and must be done, how things should be balanced, what to nerf, what to buff, etc... However, the devs only listen to the more "casual" type of players, which makes zero sense since they clearly favor one type of weapon over another. Furthermore, the changes were rolled out too late, people have already left. I talked to the former top 1 player and people who were in the top 50, most of them left the game. But they all have one thing in common, they left because the game is so unbalanced it's not fun to play anymore. This game was never meant to be a casual type of game, it was built for esports from the ground up, it doesn't hurt for people to be casual, but it definitely hurts for people who want to be competitive, yet the devs listened to the casuals.... If I'm being honest, the player counts are not noticeably climbing at all, even with the launch of season 4. The longer they hold back on the Esports side of the game, the faster the game dies, at least host a small tournament themselves (or just learn a thing or two from Riot Games' ways with Valorant).

I do think the finals has a very casual armory but the objectives and systems of the game are very competative which is very conflicting, the more active player base also seems to be the competative side of the game.

@@thatsbluel33t Exactly, but here is the thing, the devs can completely lean on the competitive side without any repercussions with the casuals. They will be what they are and still have fun while the try-hard players are satisfied. This is what I mean when I said that they can really learn from Riot like Val, League has a ton of casual players and it is not affecting the competitive gameplay at all, they can have fun in whatever way they feel fit.
