As a Driver of a Suzuki 650 in Canada, I can say it's always a pleasure to hop on a 110...125 or so . In Vietnam or Thailand (where I tour) those small bikes/scooters are perfect in my opinion.

I can vouch for this bike, it's very forgiving for beginners and it has nothing but stories of dependability and reliability as the Honda Wave here in the Philippines. It's a very fun bike to ride around town. Thanks for this video! Well said and informative! 👌

Thank you for your service I've rented from you and ridden exactly the same bike for Ha Giang loop, and it is awesome machine I don't think people need faster bike on Vietnam roads, only if you don't care about sceneries and want to improve your riding skills. I've seen pair on Yamaha R6 on Ha Giang loop with free flowing exhaust, scaring away chickens and sleeping dogs on the road.))

The Wave 110i is the do-it-all farmers' bike here in Thailand. This must be the same bike. That rack is a bit long. Nothing wrong with looking like a scooter. I have an Aerox and I'm adding an ADV 350. I'd hire that 110. Nick J

Not quite. There are Honda Waves here too. I would say they are super similar though to the point that they may as well be the same haha

In Malaysia we also call wave 110i alpha.

The semi-auto bikes are great for pootling around SE Asia. My only reservation is that once you are used to an XR150 they are a little bit boring and too easy. Still great though.

Hi Tigit, I've watched all your videos. I'm genuinely confused about buying a new Honda blade 110cc or the new sirius fi 2023 115cc. If anyone has ridden both of these, please help me choose the right one. ❤

I have not driven the Yamaha. But, as a very general generalization. The Honda bikes hold their value better over time. They are also more reliable and easier to fix. However, Yamaha bikes tend to have better suspension and a bit more character to drive. Yamaha bikes are also usually smaller and lighter than the Honda ones. Either way, you can't go wrong.

I would go for the Sirius since it has fuel injection, and especially if it's the version with disc brakes. Just better and more reliable stopping power. My previous bike was an older model Sirius with Fi and front disc brakes. It drove fine, no issues. Was quick and nimble. Have not driven a wave yet other than the ones at the driving tests, which were all worn out and could only stay in 3rd gear. I've since upgraded to a Winner X, which kicks ass... but is also a lot more difficult to ride
