I’m building a ‘68 Plymouth GTX… was a Satellite. For a daily driver. 550 HP 440, 4 speed, Dana rear. I think it will be fun. And not too expensive. Under $20k.

​@@drippinglassNice. I bought a 87 buick grandnational in 2019 for 24k. I kept it stock for about a year. I sent it off to a known grandnational builder and after fuel upgrade, exhaust, engine rebuild to stock spects, a slightly bigger turbo that appears stock under the turbo shield. 20k later I have a 500hp, 600tq that goes 0 to 60 in in about 3.8 seconds and a quarter mile time of 11.5. It's a monster on the street and if you keep your foot out of it a great daily driver. My next vehicle up is a 92 gmc typhoon. I'm doing a ecu and electrical system conversion with an aftermarket system to increase reliability over the old crappy system. All wheel drive 4.3 turbo truck basically a suv grandnational.

Most rich assholes blow cash on these super cars, have it locked in the garage (like this guy) or wreck it on a highway because they can’t control anything going over 120mph… if you’re happy with engine rust from not using the car then that’s fine, in my personal opinion this old ass car hasn’t even had its engine properly broken in yet due to lack of use.

I test drove a 6 speed and did not like it. I had to shift every time the car speed changed by 10 mph. In traffic, that is a lot of shifting. I prefer a 4 speed truck transmission with a granny low gear for races. When not racing, you only use 3 gears.

If you’re referring to the 5.4 triton truck motor these are not even close to comparable. This is the 5.4 shared with the gt500s of 2006 to 2012. Just thought I’d throw this out there because I used to think about this too.

It would kinda suck to spend all that money on a car that you can't really drive because you want it to have low miles for the future just in case you want to sell it at auction. It's kinda like buying a toy for a kid but telling them they can't open the box. Just enjoy looking at it because if you touch it the value is going to go down. Just go buy yourself a mustang and have all the fun you want driving that for way less than you spent on a GT you just store in your garage.
