I wanted to show why one would want to buy a handmade knife rather than a store/mass-manufactured knife. This was a fun test for my heat treating and I'm very happy with the results!
To learn more about knifemaking check out my Patreon where I post more in-depth tutorials on how I do make the knives I make.
To keep up to date with what I am currently making check out my instagram- / freehillbla. .
Go check out Online Metals and use FHBx721 at Checkout to get 15% off your order and let them know I sent you.
The bronze I used is 655-H04 Silicon Bronze - www.onlinemeta....
The W1 pin stock - www.onlinemeta....
The Grinder I use is the Brodbeck ironworks grinder - brodbeckironwo....
The Grinder belts and sandpaper are from Red Label Abrasives- www.redlabelab...
The camera I use is the Lumix S5 with the Kit lens and the 30mm f1.4 from sigma. You can get these on amazon with these links.'

30mm- amzn.to/3SjbfSK

Such a great video, Curt! It's extremely satisfying to see functional art, be put through performance tests like these, and pass! After watching, the quality knives basically sell themselves! Thanks for sharing brother and God bless you! 😎👍🏻🔨🔥🗡️

I make knives as well and I have had heat treat problems in the past especially with 80CrV2 blades and I was literally trying to find a good knife testing video and you gave me exactly that. Thank you for the amazing content and sharing this info! Keep up the great work. I’m a huge fan of yours!
