Yeah they definitely made a big improvement for the 99 year 4.0 motors! An extra 10 or 15 HP plus the extra torque was a godsend for helping these somewhat heavy SUV's get up and go, ESP if you have installed bigger tires! *

Yep I bought my 04 special edition w/ 93k on the i6 4.0 for $5k in 2015 and its still going strong today w/ 205k. I do an oil change every 3k miles myself and have replaced everything myself. The entire front end suspension; pads and rotors; diff, trans and transfer case fluids. I've learned a lot about electrical too. So cheap to maintain and the experience, knowledge and tools I've gained are priceless. I love my Jeep

I love both the ZJ's and the WJ's. One of the most important things I look for when buying one of these is besides the obvious stuff is for models that had the FACTORY tow package installed! They come with 3.73 Axle gearing AND most also have limited slip rear ends too!! Makes for a far better off road rig and vehicle in general on road with bigger tires mounted!!

I have a 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo and I love it! Your video was informative, intelligent, and honest. Had it 3 months and enjoy the inexpensive fix ups. Replaced rear trailing arms and sway bar, front wheel assemblies. And replacing tires, fuel filter and having a gasket w small leak replaced. Would like to up grade the stereo and also replacing headlamp covers. I'm blessed to have my Jeep and I hope God willing she keeps running great and looking good after some left fender body repair (rust) which is typical of the midwest. I love yours too! His bless, brother 😁

Check this out.... so I got the front coil springs from an old Ford Thunderbird (it has to be from a V8 engine) which gave me a 3in-4in lift. Then I put my front stock Wj springs and put them on the rear (which gave me about 2 inch lift, I did that just to level out the Jeep) Then about a month after I upgraded the front shocks to some bleinstein and I’m still running stock shocks in the back

Just keep in mind that if you’re gonna do a lift , the Jeep is notorious at the death wobble. So your end ball joints have to be in good condition. I got death wobble and changed the 1. Track bar and 2. The steering stabilizer And you have to get all your 4 wheels aligned after any lift in any car

Threw a rod on the first original with 155k. got a used motor swap which lasted me another 3 yrs no trouble, then hit a hella crater of a pothole - blew a head gasket - rebuilt the upper - but it toasted my crankshafts with the overheated engine. Sooo - instead of ditching it - saved up for a total remanned new 4.7 motor with a 3 yr warranty P&L... getting it back hopefully tomorrow

I just bought WJ Overland two months ago. In hindsight I should have gotten 4l I6 with LPG, but went for 2.7 merc diesel (EU). This far I am very happy though that I chose Jeep. The best you could get for the money in the market at the moment I guess. I considered Kia Sorento, Pajero, X-trail and even older Opel Frontera, but still, there is something about Jeep that just feels better. Besides the obvious things that actually are better :D There are 3 main trim levels, not 2, Laredo, Limited and Overland. Plus some small-scale special models.

Yep that 4.0 is bulletproof, meaning, it'll go on forever, even if you're the kinda person who never changes your oil and just tops it off with a buddies used oil. Run it with the temp gauge pegged, no matter. I have the v-8, it's shoehorned in that bitch and definitely got some get up, though it's a older v8 putting out less than today's v-6s. Even still it feels powerful, and yes you must stay on top of maintenance. I've put mine through hell, even overheated it a time or two. Still truckin like a champ. 🤞Only has 190k mi on it though. It's a pretty stout engine, purrs nicely, when the ps pump isn't whining. I have a couple of SHITTY videos of it on my channel EDIT :( my friends channel: "Nick Sundvall"), pre 4" lift and 32s I'm running now, which I can still chirp all four even on the street with all terrain tires.

I have a 96 Laredo 5.2L Magnum. I don't really like the Quadra-Trac. Can I just swap in a transfer case from another ZJ that had the standard 4wd system? There's nothing wrong with it,I only bought it because I got a really good deal on it,and it is in pretty good condition. If it's an easy bolt in swap,I would definitely do it if I ever have a reason to pull the Quadra-Trac transfer case off.

Dear Najar...i fell asleep attempting to watch your video, which did very little to promote a vehicle that is designed to MOVE across rough terrain VS a floor jack designed to lift and hols a vehicle stationary for hours at a time.
