the mk iv was based on the japanese nambu, not the luger.
@TacticalFellowship11 ай бұрын
correct but to me it just looks like the P08 Luger:)
@joshlower15 ай бұрын
No it's definitely a Luger, Luger became Ruger after the war
@shaoyizhang25964 ай бұрын
@@joshlower1 I don't think this is correct.

I think nambu is inspired by Luger

I got my Mark IV last month and mounted a Vortex Venom optic in place of the rear sight. It is very accurate.

Since the Ruger pistol is an idea after looking at the P-08Luger, the Nambu, and, the venerable Ol' Betsy of Mike Hammer 1911, all of which were designed for single hand operation, I believe that a two-fisted Weaver standard or modified stance robs the experience of such a firearm, and lowers it to just plain gorilla-izing it., in a fashion similar to the use of a late-night tv super kitchen knife when a well-used santoku or gyuto does the trick. As a Boy Scout, I was medaling in the Junior NRA, and I had the pleasure of shooting 1911-framed pistols chambered in .38Super. I am glad for that training, because, as a Security Augmentee at a B-52 base, I was stationed in the back 40, with an M16 and an SandW Model 15, that served me.

interestingly the grip on this thing, being as large as it is, makes a two fisted hold supremely comfortable... that and it's the grip I use across all platforms to keeps things simple:)

I used to have one of these years ago, but mine was stainless. It had to have been an older model since it was around 2002 when I had it. I'm thinking it was a Mk II. It jammed all the damn time. Admittedly it was a used gun when I got it. My mom bought it for my birthday.

Sucks to hear dude, all I know is mines running good, these guns can be finicky bc well .22lr can be finicky

Only because I use it, like you mentioned with the different uppers - shooting Steel Challenge I use the same lower and swap between an Irons top and a red dot/comp with the push of a button. Hard to beat getting two guns for sub $750 even with the mods.
@TacticalFellowship Жыл бұрын
Brother you nailed it, multiple upper solutions for me as well off the lower… did you do anything with the stock trigger or leave as is?
@MartyBeardFace Жыл бұрын
@@TacticalFellowship haha, every part I could replace/upgrade to Tandemkross has been done. I laughed when you mentioned the finger pinch if you don't let it go, that "halo ring" was my first upgrade and I love it so much.

I can't get over the polymer frame, had to go with a "regular" mark iv. Got the tactical for short barrel, and the pic rails will be taken off since a suppressor will add plenty of weight Ps never pinched my fingers on the bolt with my mark ii and have put at least 20k through it
@TacticalFellowship3 ай бұрын
bro you are a champion! can't believe you've never pinched your fingy's 😂

I thinking of getting my first gun. This is the only pistol im thinking of, other than that its either this or a revolver. Why? It looks cool, and is 22/44

So I bought the Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Tactical for an accurate suppressor host. I'm curious why you chose your pistol set up over that one. Considering the only benefit you cite is that the pic rail is built into the upper, is there an additional benefit? Or does it just make you happier with it that way? Seems like we are both after the same thing, Just looking for incite.
@TacticalFellowship Жыл бұрын
integrated pic rail, shorter barrel by like 1.5 inches and no pic rail underneath barrel (aesthetic reasons) would be the additional difference

So a black mamba without The accurizing kit and competition bolt, I think those features are worth the $600
@TacticalFellowship Жыл бұрын
perhaps yes, the bolt is kinda an aesthetic thing for me. I like a flat looking back rather than the portruding look of the volq bolt. I'm sure though if you used it I'd love it though:)

for me the looks are just off with the tactical model, gaudy picatinny hanging off it every which way:)
