i finally did it -- 5 months since seeing this vid and $160 dollars later, I finally got this set, and it was worth every penny (aka, I went insane after I missed out on a listing of this set at $148 and splurged a bit)

You can actually make this set to scale if you have the right materials. If you have enough peices you can turn the mini mech into the monkey mech. And turn the monkey mech (the big one with its own set) into the golden monkie mech and make it to scale

I don't understand Lego's logic of only promoting monkey kid in china. Why would they intentionally limit their audience and sales like that. Imagine if they only promoted Ninjago in japan. It would have never reached the level of insane popularity it has today because kids (the main consumer) from other parts of the world are less likely to hear about it and even if they do, most of them aren't able to purchase sets online. I really feel like monkey kid could have a huge audience if they started promoting it more outside of China and selling sets in physical stores and it's such a shame that Lego insists on making weird business choices when it comes to stuff like this

Depends… Do you want the better build or more figs? the bone demon is the superior build, but the drone copter has better figures, (all the spider army, red son, mk, Mei, Sandy, and tang)

Ace, I'm trying to figure out which MK mech to get. I'm primarily looking between the bone demon and the warrior mech (or maybe macaque if you think it's best after your arm mod). My only consideration is that I really don't like pieces that fall off easily on my builds, like the $250 dark night tumbler set. I'm not worried about sets retiring, as I'll be buying soon, and I'll probably only get one. Thanks and love the channel!

I would recommend the Bone Demon. Monkey King Warrior Mech is very good but the extra builds just add to the price and it’s not THAT pose-able. I will admit from time to time pieces will come off The Bone Demon but it rarely happens and I’d say Bone Demon is best.

The only problem with the current monkie kid sets Is that Macaque only comes in 1 Flower fruit mountain And yes its a good set but its still the only set with Macaque And I don't want to pay 2-300 bucks for the 1 fig I want

Something I don’t understand is that here in Europe Monkie Kid prices are AMAZING. Let’s imagine that a Euro (the currency in Europe) equals an American Dollar. The Bone Demon is 100 euros, and that’s an insane offer! Spider Queen’s Arachnoid Base is 100 euros. Again amazing value! Monkie Kid’s Team Dronecopter is 130 euros which is balanced, but again, I checked all the values, and the only overpriced sets was Sandy’s Speedboat! So I don’t know why the prices are so bad in the US. And if you don’t believe me that 1 American dollar is equal to 1 euro, then why are the prices for ninjago, Jurassic world, city, and more the exact SAME (in almost all cases). While with Monkie Kid here in Europe the prices are really good for some reason it’s terrible in the US. Maybe it’s for marketing reasons or smth…
