Great state park. I also like a lot of trees when camping. Makes it cozy & provides privacy. The meals looked tasty & fishing in the stream was so peaceful & relaxing. Your pressure cooker does a great job. Here in Wisconsin, we had 40 mph winds & temps below zero with wind chill. My back door was frozen shut this morning. But fear not! Spring is just around the corner! I always look forward to your next adventure. Take care & stay safe.

We loved camping at Guadalupe River SP. We were in site 73. The rocks and trees around the river are amazing. Summer heat is bearable floating in the cool water. Oh the white rock is called Austin stone. We had some on our last house. Now you need to head to Garner State park and Canyon lake, which is really close to you - the river feeds into Canyon lake.

Great video. After living in Central Texas for over 20 years we've done quite a bit of camping in the area. A park you would love is Inks Lake State Park. The park can be crowded in summer and spring, but early spring is one of the most beautiful times at the park. Bluebonnets and other wildflowers usually bloom profusely toward the end of March. Park Road 4 from Hwy 29 to the park entrance is absolutely one of the most beautiful drives you will take during the end of March to April. The landscape is beautiful as well with the Schist rock formations with the quartz veins running through them. You'll love the hiking and biking trails. Take your kayaks out on the lake and paddle to Devils Watering hole. You can swim and jump from the rocks for more fun. White bass fishing is great there too with no fishing license required. Make reservations very early since they sometimes are booked for almost a year. You never know tho since there are cancellations.
