I thought the UC college acceptance will be more lenient this year thanks to Corona, but it turns out that the complete opposite. I just got rejected from a UC that was supposed to be my safety school. Really nervous about Davis now.

Don't stress too much! Sometimes the UC system is weird with which ones you get into and don't. I (Alex) was rejected from UCSB and UCB but got into UCSD, UCI, and UCD. Good luck to you!

Hey Just a question ...... Earlier today I got an acceptance letter from UC Davis.... The letter did not have any information related to scholarship or financial aid grants.. Additionally there is no date mentioned on the website related to release of scholarship or financial aid letter........ I am a little nervous about it so it will be great if you could help by sharing your experience....

As an undergrad that transferred last fall to UCD, let me say that they are the best of the best at handling the pandemic for the entire university and the surrounding area. They are unfortunately better at that than taking care of their students relative to other colleges like UC Berkeley. If you stumble upon this video please realize that one persons experience is not everyone’s and try to figure out more what the Uni you want to go to does for you.

also i was confused on how come Davis is frequently describe as everything from peaceful to tranquil to boring, yet it’s 20 minutes outside of a major city. i’ve never been to sacramento but i would assume it would have everything of big city since it does have an NBA team and is considered a major city in Cal. so like is it one of those things were students don’t really go to sacramento, or maybe sacramento isn’t exactly the type of city i’m thinking it is, or maybe something i’m overlooking. whatever it is i’ve always been confused on this dynamic because 20 minutes doesn’t seem like that far of a travel to change from tranquil to exciting at any moment.

Wait people think UCD still charging thousands of dollars for terrible online classes is fair?? "OH you can get $75 grant while you spend $1000+/ online class where you can't even get to know your professor or other students and without any campus perks" LOL if they really cared about the students and their difficulties due to the pandemic they would at least lower their tuition or go back in person.
