It's safe to say, not all Cheap Chinese frames are equal. You’ve got the unbranded questionable frames to the actually branded decent frames. Today I'll be talking about Why you should get a CHEAP CHINESE Road Bike

Tbh the winspace T1500 and SLC are looking really good compared to more mainstream competitors. Plus rim break offerings are a plus when others are getting rid of it.

I'd also highlight the "adventure" aspect of buying a cheap, unbranded/not well known, untested stuff, where I can find out myself if it's good, make mods, fixes, etc. That's why I have a Chinese Mini-Lathe, and that's why I am only interested in Sensah shifters and so on. Cheap carbon frames can be a safety risk, but things like shifters aren't quite so risky, and you always have two brakes. Nice video, thanks!

And you think the expensive ones are really saving you from any risk? Look at the recall actions around breaking handlebars and proprietary for stem mechanism which are plenty in the "high end" area.

Nice video. Recently, canyon subreddit is unfortunately getting more scarier carbon fibre failure posts. Imagine the hassle of the process of stopping and not using the bike and sending it back. It’s very too powerful to ignore if this happens on brands with expensive price tags..

Concerning Twitter carbon bike frames and complete bikes, please indicate if they are quality carbon frames/bikes. Presently, they show attractive discounted sale prices under $2k.

Bikes and components with unrecognized names are less likely to attract thieves. That might be one of the top reasons to ride one. Given the QC issues top-name bikes are suffering, going with an Asian import can't really be much worse. Well, then there's the fact that most of the top-name bikes are also made in Asia. The best way to be assured you're getting a reliable, high-quality frame that's not going to suddenly break is to buy aluminum or steel. That said, I'm looking at gifting myself a carbon fiber bike for Christmas (I've never owned one), and it will most likely be a direct-to-consumer Asian bike that carries the name of a now defunct French maker and sells for far less than comparably spec'd name brand models.

I disagree. It's very well within the real of possibility to just check out the robustness of a bike frame by yourself. You can for example take a controlled step down over a curb with it to see if it can handle abuse. You can forcefully squash the handlebar. Just think a bit.

I'm about to order one these amazing, shiny and spaceship looking MT , on top of that it's such great deal it makes me suspicious if it's real or fake. Now I know it's very good deal if it's real, besides the amount of money I'm putting on potential risk is acceptable, especially with the possibility to nail awesome bike. Fingers crossed 🤞 it's not a shameless scam.

Honestly, going for a cheap chineese frame from velobuildmall or of the same ilk running sensah is probably the best for a critpig because you don't want to crash your sexy new propel that cost you an arm and a leg

Amost all carbon frames comes from china except Look and Time. Well, you pay more for QC and brand marketing for the legit ones. Nothing wrong with that, it's just a matter of personal choice. I've been riding and commuting on some cheap Chinese carbon bikes for years and it haven't kill me... yet. So, I don't think safety is a big issue as it's made out nowadays.

Nice video. I own a Bianchi 928L. But that's a 2007 model. Climbing bike. Still doing it's job. But I'm not planning to spend a lot of money anymore. I still do fast group and club rides. And if the government give us the chance to race ,I will do it too. I'm 48. And honestly I want to go for a more modern aero machine. And I'm considering going for one of the brands you mentioned. They all have the same style like the well known brands. One thing I'm not sure yet. If I'm going rim- to disc brakes. ( modern)

They're ALL cheap Chinese bikes. We just pay more for the ones that sponsor TDF teams and that have massive marketing campaigns. Otherwise, they're all made in China anyway. For me, what justifies the purchase price of a big brand is that the big brand has a vested interest in doing their best to make sure that they produce quality structurally sound products. They can be sued. A small operation can just close up shop and reopen under a different name and some other owner. Anything that I can do 40mph on with nothing around to protect me in case of an accident has to be the best that I can afford (especially for cockpit & wheel parts) from a reputable maker with proven technologies & designs. I'd never pay $5K for a frame, but I could see someone justifying paying $2K for a frame which is usually a big brand's 2nd tier bike, like the Ballistic SuperSix VS the Ballistic HiMod SuperSix. All HiMods are just Ballistic SuperSixes, with 10% of their layup altered with HiMod fibers to save a few grams and make them X% stiffer, but at the same time, that also compromises their structural integrity just to save a few gams and crashed HiMods can rarely be repaired while Ballistic SuperSixes are undeniably stronger and could withstand accidental damage more readily. If 180g is the difference whether someone wins a race or not, more power to them. 99% of cyclists (in America) don't race.

I don’t understand how people are calling these Chinese frames cheap and an affordable option. Any complete build with them will end up costing thousands anyways. Sure they are a little cheaper than name-brands, but it’s still incredibly expensive to get into racing, which I can’t afford as a teen.
