Actually legitimate secret 5*. Bonus benefit, his skills barely scale with level. All you're getting is 8% more def (You're not going to get hit for 3 attacks anyway), an additional 1500hp when guts triggers (1500 is not even 1 hit) 1000 more hp (again not even one hit) and obviously skill cd. 1/1/1 skill Cu is absolutely fine. You should eventually level his skills for the cd, but if you're starting he's fine at base skills levels. You get top tier for 0 investment. Bonus Benefit round: 3rd Append skill is actually useful

I love Cú, he was my first servant to level and my first to get grails. I have many 5* now, including his Berserker version, but I still pull this guy out for some tough fights or just for fun. He truly is a bro.

Ah yes, OG lancer Cu- my first grailed to 100 servant in FGO. I still stick him into my party when doing boss fights. Don't use him as much for regular battles though as he's long passed bond 10 and I have other lancers I'm trying to bond 10 at the moment.

The hidden 5* among the silver pool. Also, you should mention the 3rd Append Skill on those Servants who happen to have something actually useful, like this guy. 30% extra damage vs Berserkers makes him even better for lots of boss fights.

Unlike his FSN counterpart this Cu is doesn't die no matter what. Guess he learned his lesson and got himself some evasion and also guts so that even if Kirei takes him by surprise he will survive kill him

What makes all of his survivability nutty is how he keeps looping his two main skills. PfA is a fairly low CD for the amount of protection it grants and when paired with the guts, guarantees at least 2 turns of survival. This is then paired with the Atlas uniform to effectively lower his CD by 3 turns (-2 CD and invincible) while also covering how his disengage doesn't remove stuns. At bare minimum, if Cu is getting one shot through regular damage and the enemy doesn't have true hit, he can survive at least 5 enemy turns on his own. This is without CEs, so if you have Volumen you can last up to 6 turns. This is under the assumption his HP can't take any damage in which case he survives EVEN longer. And because he's not dependent on his CE, he can be outfit with what he needs for any fight. Need to burst down a berserker? Child of Atlas. Want general high damage with burn CC? Honey lake. Want to equip a 50% starting CE? Golden Sumo. Having those options can drastically change how a fight goes like how child of Atlas lets Cu deal with the tree faster in LB4.

Another thing to note about Cu is how much the quick/mighty change updates drastically improve his solo combat capabilities to almost ludicrous levels. Currently in NA, we don't have the system, so his damage is alright. But in JP, with the right CC, his NPQQ is helping him generate 40+ stars in one chain. If you have a mighty chain next turn, you can almost get his NP back with a QBA chain next turn while Critting the whole time! Now I know he's not the only one who benefitted from these chain updates. Some servants can take even bigger advantage of this system for more damage or looping. But because Cu is a servant that can take better advantage of the system since he wants to fight alone and guarantee the cards he needs to enable these full chains, Cucan abuse the engine the longest and enable even more damage over a longer period of time. Remember when I mentioned at minimum of 5 turns under very extreme circumstances? Imagine NPing almost every 2nd turn and almost guaranteed crits every other turn. Just watch a more modern Honako Cu solo video and you see what I mean.

if you bring 2 taunt characters which seems to be fair game for solo runs you can guarantee yourself at least 7-8 turns of survival, assuming the enemy's attacks arent aoe, that is

He is meta since 2014 lol. I cheesed every one hp bar boss with him basically. Idk if they fixed it or not but when you close the game before ending your turn and continiou after restrarting game it was starting at the turn it ended so you get one more free try of the turn basically. And the rng was randomized again it wasn't fixed so I was just trying again and again till he one shots the bosses basically lol

I just like the theory that out of FSN cast Chu-chulain would likely answer you call when summoned, because he's such a bro.

welp I would have said that I haven't leveled him up if JP didn't release the sq update on anni 7. Before that I really couldn't care less abt male servants, much less Cu. That said his character gained enough of my respect from UBW so that I didn't burn him like a few of the male servants I got on NA, like Hercules for example kekw. Kinda regretting it now since I cant do the advance quests or get extra 3 sq later for those lost dudes on NA lol
