Why though? Why did the Emperor have Exar Kun's lightsaber, and amulet? It's my favorite lightsaber, so I appreciate that, but it makes no sense. Honestly, the Yavin Base kind of never made sense, too me. Exar Kun fled to Yavin IV, and the Republic discovered the location of his base. They arrived in a fleet, but recent events, such as Kun mind-dominating the entire Senate, while simultaneously killing his former master in a duel, left everyone less than elated to go down to the Temple of Fire, in person, to deal with him. Then someone just said "screw it", and "let's see him deflect THIS", to then trigger orbital bombardment of the structure. Kun, knowing he'd die from this, seized the life essence of the Maasasi, drained it, and used it to tether just his spirit to the site, allowing him to fitfully sleep until Luke and school showed up, Gantoris, the stuff with Kyp Durron, etc. The assault should have razed the Temple, and destroyed at least Kun's lightsaber, if itcwas violent enough to kill his Force-enhanced body. Why were his Relics still there? Why was the structure still there, 4000 years later, to serve as the Rebel base, and then later Luke's Jedi praxeum? It just doesn't make sense? Then what killed Kun, where no one was brave enough to go down, and challenge him directly?

It definitely could be that he imbued his lightsaber with the dark side that possibly allowed it to not be destroyed. If I’m correct, some ancient sith that wielded swords did the same thing which allowed them to fight against a lightsaber even though the material itself could easily be destroyed if not infused with dark side energy. The fact that Kun’s saber alone could corrupt an individual in close proximity or if held says a lot about how powerful it was so, not impossible but not likely that an orbital bombardment could destroy it. Just my theory.

@@venkelos6996 yeah Exar Kun didn’t know how to bleed it, or he wanted to mock the Jedi. I like how he’s a Sith with a blue lightsaber! A very powerful one at that! When I see other Sith lightsabers I can feel their power but I’m also enticed by the red blade (it’s my favorite color), and feel more empowered myself, with the blue blade it’s just raw power! And it’s a reminder not to give out trust generously like the Jedi (wrongly) did!

Palpatine would have all of the above named items in his vault, plus all of the recovered and plundered sith holocrons and artefacts acquired from the jedi temp[le following order 66 as well as a host of new ones. As once he became emperor he can basically send loads of teams out to discover and plunder new sites for arcane and new force power and abilities like what was going on at lothal temple during rebels to his advantage.
