Also note that whenever you see a 6/5 blackjack just walk away and don't bother with other rules. You can find a 6/5 table that has all the good rules. But that won't make a difference. 6/5 is just a terrible game and should always be avoided.

I played 6/5 black jack last night and won $473 I've invested $200 into the game. So basically I only won $300 extra. On 3/2 game the other day I won $1600 and only invested $60 bucks of my own money

Every time I go back to Vegas it gets harder and harder to find 3-to-2 tables. Have to end up at a place like Hooters or Orleans to find those tables with low minimums. This is why I HATE people who play 6-5 tables, because they are the ones screwing it up for the rest of us who refuse to play them. If we ALL boycotted 6-5 games the casinos would have no choice but to offer only 3-2 games. But stupid people keep playing the 6-5 tables completely oblivious to the poor odds, and so the casinos keep converting more tables to those rules.

Last year the Strat changed their $10 minimum games from 6 to 5 to 3 to 2 which surprised me because once a casino goes 6 to 5 it rarely ever changes.

You might want to consider a trip to Reno instead of Vegas. Low limit 3:2 blackjack is easy to find there. There are some drawbacks however. Reno has nowhere near the glitz, glamor and entertainment options that Vegas has. You should also budget a rental car if you're going to visit Reno. You don't want to miss Lake Tahoe or Virginia City.

In a casino there will be 10 tables of 6 to 5 and 2 or 3 tables of 3 to 2 blackjack so you could still find a 3 to 2 game in a casino that had a 6 to 5 game. I also heard that some casinos offer even money on blackjack with a dealer ace on a 6 to 5 as a consession to the players .

Hell, casinos in my area have phased out the 3:2 tables all together and replaced them with 6:5. I guess the majority of players do not even notice or care, but it has made me stop playing here entirely! Casinos are making money for now so they won't go back. People need to ditch Blackjack before these bastards make these types of tables a standard nationwide!

I have a question this might be the wrong place to ask but There was a Casino in Europe where they paid 6 to 5 on a black jack if the jack was hearts or diamonds but 3 to 1 if the jack was spades or clubs would that be better or worse than a 3 to 2 table we typically see in the states?

Typically now, the 3:2 games are 6 or 8 deck shoes. Would you play single or double deck at 6:5 over those shoe games?

Question for American casino guide as a new card counter I always look for $5 minimum tables and in the casino I go to they do have those games however they are all 6-5 games should I just go to a $10 or $15 table that pays 3-2 even though it’s high for a new player

You never want to play 6-to-5 blackjack games. Depending on the rules, the casino advantage in those games is about three to four times higher than 3-to-2 games. You will get blackjack more often when you play against fewer decks. The more decks used, the higher the house edge.

It's a stark choice to play at $5 6:5 or at $20 3:2 for the same HA loss amount. Vegas is all about them $25 tables anyways.

I have two questions re: 6-5 bj: (1) If you are counting, at what count would the player actually have an advantage? and (2) What jump in your bet would be necessary so that you would actually still have an advantage over the house? Anybody?

You would need a true count of +3 to have the edge - and that's just considering the 1.4% house edge from 6:5. You would have to also factor in other aspects like doubling, splitting, penetration, etc.

I think you would never have the edge on 6 to 5 game a lot of the edge in a positive count comes from the blackjack payout.

Unfortunately now most places only offer 6:5 at the regular low odds. To get 3:2 casinos are requiring a higher minimum

Really though! This is a huge issue with casinos in my area in California, tables seem to all pay 6:5 nowadays!!! Online casinos offer 3:2, but that's opening another can of worms when it comes to the house advantage!

I would not play a 6 to 5 blackjack if I had the option to play a 3 to 2 blackjack shoe game. However I will play a shoe game of 6 to 5 blackjack over a table with a CSM.

6 to 5 is way worst than CSM. Even if you count card on 6/5 is still worst than 3/2 CSM.

You should never play 6:5 BJ, EVER! The casinos will always try to pull this kind of crap to shave off more of the player odds into their favor. The only way to stop this kind of behavior is not to play at those casinos.
