Why you should NEVER touch glow sticks

Discussing why you should never touch glow sticks but then tempted to keep touching glow sticks. Very tempted to touch and bend the glow sticks and overbend them and even set fire to them. The disaster which unfolds is both dangerous and beautiful all at the same time. The glow sticks are set on fire and the toxic chemicals of hydrogen peroxide, oxalate esters and some colorful dyes explode all over the bench to create a glow in the dark masterpiece painting that even Leonardo da Vinci would be proud of. I guess you've seen what happens when you touch glow sticks, the temptation to touch glow sticks can be dangerous that is for sure. Whatever you do, please don't touch glow sticks :)

have you considered pouring out the contents of multiple glow sticks into a cup before mixing the hydrogen peroxide and oxalate esters?? I think the results would be very interesting for a study and it would be sure to go viral i think. perhaps someone could write a thesis on it.

I have no idea about that, maybe some medical advice would be more appropriate...always check the safety instructions for glow sticks before use.
