Holy snapping assholes, I just installed an Emotiva A7 amp in the bed layer of my 7.2.4 Atmos system to replace several DIY built class D amps, and thought I was contributing in my own small way to saving the environment by using my AVR’s trigger output to save the amp’s idle current for the 16 hrs a day I’m not watching. What atrocity have I committed😂?

I've been watching a few of your videos lately. How can it be that a person talking about sound uses a microphone setup that makes it sound as if you are talking from the bottom of a beer barrel (or you use a mic mounted on your camera, which basically sounds the same)?

Check the Super Review video of Hiby R3 ii, right at the start, he says, "I am not going to talk much about sound, it sounds great" , and proceeds to spend all his time on the UI. It's a thin and reedy ESS implementation with poor bass, albeit good layering, and decent mids, if somewhat dry, and shrill treble that collapses into chaos on busy tracks. I tried to listen to Close To The Edge on that, and it nearly murdered me. But he doesn't tell people about this. And people spend money that they might not have on his recommendation.

Gear should be forced to broadcast trigger warnings before use. Being triggered by a phrase such as "highly resolving system" is exactly the same as being shot through the knee, stabbed with knitting needles then ran over by a Tesla Cybertruck . It's a human rights issue, dammit.

Did you run out of humorous ideas? Maybe nothing much funny triggered off in your mind this time. The word thing was funny though Even when you don't try to be funny, except for the 2 sets of words thing; you have people in your comedy pocket, They think its hilarious no matter what you say. Even when you are trying to be as serious as the war. People don't know if you are being serious for instance about cable risers. The starving and shooting of people in Gaza is really "trigger"ing people's tempers to rise. Protesters showing up and telling the world not to be so dumb to believe purposely extinguishing innocent people (mostly women and children) through hunger and violence is necessary or fair. Russia has warned Israel several times now. Prediction: Russia will enter into this and if the U.S. makes the decision to come to the aid of Israel, there will be nuclear war & annihilation between the superpowers. A post nuclear winter will occur and life on this planet will be no extinguished and no more. But getting back to cable risers.They do indeed make a difference. Maybe if cable risers had electronics in them or something; the doubters would be less doubtful. Of course major equipment modders like myself have made all kinds of improvements doing simple things, using sinple materials. So it's not surprising to us at all that simple things like that can make an improvement. I was in a high end audio store the other day. Two audiophiles started chatting and I overheard the conversation. Here's how it went: Audiophile A: " Oh you got their preamp too! That's what I use in my system. Their new version of the preamp is really amazing sounding and really worthwhile. Audiophile B: "I don't have the Mk. IV version. I only have the first version." A: "Oh man, they've come light years in sound quality since the first version you have".... Even the Mk. II & III versions were better." "That must really suck " B: "Well, it could be a little better I guess." "But I'm using better cables now; the cables are the series II cables." A: Aww man, didn't you hear? They came out with the new improved Series III cables last November." "They blow the old cables right out of the water; are you gonna get the new series III cables?" B: "They're expensive." I might have to save up a long while to be able to afford them." A: "Oh Man, that must really suck." B: "F__k You!"

Monday is one of my favorite days. I'm a senior and always make sure to have an extended weekend. On Monday mornings, the only rising I do is maybe some cable rising or some chin ups. Still stronger than most 20 year olds..I don't watch the early morning news anymore. It's a little depressing that a portion of the world is so stupid to think that starving people and children too weak to even take their sweater off, over their head, are something they need to defend themselves against, and throw all morals and decency down the drain.
