Totally. When I trained in Japanese Jujitsu we didn't always go to the ground, but I always washed my belt after class. Hygiene is important.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣was that the sai for??? 😂😂😂😂 By the way, I bow to my belt anytime i put it on/off to honour the ancestors who gave me the chance to learn martial arts. And I remember Sensei Fumio Demura from Shito Ryu who taught his students how to use their belts as nunchaku.

Hahaha instant sepsis😆😆 Seriously though, wash your belt. I used to have a student that worked super hard and sweat like no other. His belt smelled strongly like BO and vinegar because he never washed it. I gave him the choice to either soak his belt in hot water when he got home or stop wearing it. He had it dry cleaned.
