It's always good to look into the yeard playlist so that we can know the ins and outs of growing a beard for a year. Big thumbs up 👍

Hi Akshay, great to see you in the comments, how are you? That's awesome to hear!!! That's the main reason I undertook the yeard. Are there any topics you want me to cover going forward?

That's what oil and balm is for. I think 95% of men look better with full beards.

Today marks my 8 month beard growth journey. My shit isn't as long as yours but im going strong regardless what people say. Its a lot of fucking maintenance tho once it gets past a certain point. I agree on the split ends. Its so much maintenance while my beard may not be as long as yours due to my genetics, my stuff is still a lot of maintenance. Especially when I wake up in the morning its so fucking uncomfortable in the morning Its so dry asf I automatically have to condition it in the morning and put product in morning every morning. Its a lot of maintenance.

I'm going for a yeard to see how long this monster can get and because everyone is doing it!!. I've never let it grow beyond 6 months. No trimming at all this time!!!

I love your accent. If you co wash 3-4 times weekly then use beard wash 2 x week. The co wash helps it lay down better. Scotch Porter makes an excellent co wash. Don't let people decide for you what you need. Your beard looks great. Beard oil and balm daily and use a boars hair brush.
@Beardster5 жыл бұрын
Great advice Billy! I’m yet to try Scotch Porter out.

I agree with all your points. Especially for shy/introverted guys. You WILL attract attention!

Hi Bruce, how are you? Yes you certainly will attract a lot more attention!!! thanks for watching.

Hi Daniel I am just fine thank you. I am a big fan of your channel. Your yeard looks magnificent! I am so glad that you went back to your "Beardster" channel name. I agree with you rather start another channel for things other than beard interests.. PS. I don't follow product reviews because it can cost as much as the product itself to courier it to SA. Standard mail to here is too dicey. Things get "lost" most of the time. So I don't watch reviews - they just make me heart sore.

I get lots of attention and as a LEO I love it!!! unfortunately not the kind of attention I would like to get wink wink

I grew my hair and beard for a full 12 months for charity. It became so difficult in the last few months/weeks. I couldn't trim or cut either.

Eating your own moustache and food getting in your beard is my biggest warning. Always comb your moustache before you eat and try to when you drink aswell. Eating Nutella is an absolute nightmare.
@Beardster3 жыл бұрын
Haha eating Nutella has got to be one of the worst!!! It just gets everywhere no matter what you do. Great advice on the combing here.

What should I say to people when they say to me “don’t shave it I mean just trimm it” I hate when people and even my family say that
@Beardster5 жыл бұрын
Best advice is ignore them. People will always say stuff about you but as long as you are happy, that’s all that matters. It’s your body, your face and no one else’s.

On about month 4 and going for it. Already getting the attention. It’s definitely a huge commitment. I must have products or I can’t stand it. That takes some serious $$$. But I’m still pushing along lol.
@Beardster5 жыл бұрын
ha they do cost a lot my man! Fortunately, I get sent a fair few which helps. How's it coming along though? Any areas of good/bad growth?

Nailed it. I’m on my 10th month. I so want to cut this thing some days. 😂 2 more months to go!!

Did you make it to the year?
@seanandhelen5 жыл бұрын
Don’t do it. Yeards look terrible. I grew an 8 monther then shaved it all off. I’m currently on month five and get it tidied up at the barbers once a month. I get to keep all the length plus it looks awesome. And gets more awesome each month.
@Beardster5 жыл бұрын
Dude, I just finished my Yeard 😂👍🏻 check out my Timelapse but I agree, having a regular trim hugely helps with appearance.

It’s not a yeard if you’ve trimmed the sides. That said, don’t grow a yeard they look crap. Grow for a year, 2 years, 5 years by all means but get tidy ups and trims at the barbers. It will look way better and you’ll love it more.
@Beardster5 жыл бұрын
I couldn’t disagree with you more. There are various types of yeard. It just depends on what rules you set out at the start. For my year, trimming the sides was fine. It was all about the length. Secondly, I’d say my Yeard beard looks fairly good. Hence my I’m going for the tweard now.
