Thanks for the comment, I think it’s important to highlight the downsides of certain places as a creator! I feel like setting unrealistic expectations for places that people will pay thousands of dollars to visit is definitely a problem

I absolutely agree with you. My husband and I have been to Bali many times. This year alone, we went to Bali 4 times. We have stayed in Uluwatu, Ubud, Kuta, Seminyak, Nusa Dua and also went to Canggu a few times. Nothing special in Canggu. We love Indonesian food, so was not interested in any of the cafes. Our favourite is still Seminyak.

Yep as a person that goes to Bali every year, I found Canggu so overrated. Walking around was a nightmare, traffic was a nightmare, fabulous food and lots of places to grab organic health products which I loved but my first stay there was my last. Definitely prefer Ubud, Uluwatu, Nusa Dua, Gilli islands, Seminyak for shopping and great restaurants. Plenty of activities etc. I visit friends that live near Canggu for the day then leave 😂

i hate canggu. I stayed in Berawa and wanted to go canggu yesterday. end up walking those broken narrow roads and end up getting a car, stuck in the car for an hour and decided not to go canggu. the only chance to be able to travel to canggu is by scooter, no walking or grab. just absolutely ridiculous. gave up on canggu

Yeah but I think the popularity isn’t met with the quality to be honest - it’s also not built up enough to meet the popularity. Still a cool place though, but I think it’s overrated/overchosen by tourists and travelers

i have been traveling so much and bali government is not doing their job. make all this money and did nothing to widen the roads. most roads are so broken. danger hazard. wish i saw this video before I am here

everything you said about canggu is true. travelers should forget about it. unless you go around in a scooter and decide to stay for at least a month. and lots of ppl end up in hospital coz of the scooter

Yeah I totally get that, maybe it's great to visit for 2 or 3 days then and you can eat 4 times a day haha. And yes we did stay in Ubud for about a month, I would definitely recommend it. I'll be posting content about Ubud soon :)
