Other than looking good with an extra screen instead of piano black panel, how hard is it for the passenger to just select the map or audio 10 inches to the left on the center screen ? If it showed KZbin it would be relevant for my passenger so while I am focused on driving he / she can be entertained.

I’m so glad I discovered your channel - the Taycan will likely be my next vehicle and yours was the only one that went into depth on these features! I want to be able to go see them in person but all my local dealers are completely out of them

This is very helpful because Porsche doesn't give much information on this display, and neither do most reviewers of the Taycan. My main purpose for getting the passenger-side display would be for me as the driver, as I'm in the car alone most of the time, and this indicates to me that I can have two different things displayed on the center and right-side screens at the same time -- something that often frustrates me with a single display. A question that I have is: does the night-vision camera display show on either of the two screens at center or right, or does it only display on the driver's curved screen?

It is a nice feature but no one "needs" it. Most can reach over to the center like we have for the past 70 years. Thought it would be nice to highlight to show the functionality of this new display so consumers can decide if it is something they would like to add to a Taycan!

I couldn't recommend this $4K option unless you're just maxing specs. My specs are in the Glacier Blue PDLS+, Sport Package, Premium Package, Neptune Blue, 21" Wheels, and some others like Porsche Crests, Blue seat belts, etc.

The passenger display itself is only $1100 US. You don’t have to buy the entire technology package in order to add it.

need to add the ability to play video thru it while the driver drives...say Netflix or youtube or something or saved video thru the passangers phone. Now that would be a game changer to view media content. Many times the passenger just wants to ah be a passenger so while i drive they can watch something or catch up on media content. Not help me navigate....I can do that on my own. LOL. That said my Cross Turismo on order has it now...just added it. We'll see how it goes!

@@sanjivgupta4274 It can be on when the vehicle is stopped. But in drive it will change to the Taycan logo when no passenger is in the seat. If that's not happening, see service. Also you can easily turn off/on/suspend the passenger display by pressing the Power button on lower right of lower center haptic display.

You can turn off the passenger display from the center console/PCM. You cannot simply limit some functionality. But, I would assume your passenger would listen to your suggestions on what to do or maybe they should be in the back seat. :-)

If yiu can cahrge at home and drive under 200miles per da, tou should be fine. I've had EVs for 3 years now and have only used remote chargers maybe 8 times.

I wish even if you didn't opt to get the passenger screen, they would've still allowed it to illluminate the startup word Taycan in the space with the option to change the color of the Taycan word with the illumination setting with rest of the car. I would love that!!! Maybe they will think of that in later models.

Aside from the extra look of the screen, totally not worth it. No statements made really justified the usability of it, especially that “rally driving” type of commentary, which I don’t get at all cause it’s a Taycan. It all comes down to the fact that it does enhance the look of the cabin, so if that’s what you are going for, get it. Otherwise, the main screen is easily usable by both driver and passenger like any other car, no difference whatsoever.
