❤ the Lord gave me this gift just days after he saved my life. Never really knew what it was. I Grew up without religion - parents left LdS when I was 5. Dad turned atheist mom agnostic and so I floundered tryna figure out my spiritual walk. God would give me a gift I consciously can’t comprehend so I could no longer doubt him. I was very unsure of speaking in tongues, until it happened to me. When I got baptized in the Holy Spirit, it was the most incredible feeling that I’ve ever felt. Till this day, no other feeling can compare to it. Uncontrollable tears just running down my face. My mouth was speaking in tongues, but I had no control of it. My mouth was moving, but my mind wasn’t in sync with the unknown tongue that was coming out of my mouth. At the same time, all you feel is an overwhelming, uncontrollable, indescribable, infinite amount of love from God. It felt so amazing. The most amazing feeling anyone could EVER experience. Imagine, putting an empty cup under the faucet while the water is running. The love from God just kept pouring and overflowing my cup, and when you think it’s going to stop, it just keeps on pouring and you never want it to end. I couldn’t sleep that night. I just kept crying and felt this overwhelming urge to pray for anyone and everyone and at the same time, going on my knees and worshipping God. You have to experience it for yourself.

Thank you so much guys for your obedience and speaking about this powerful instrument that God has put in our hands. I got baptized of water in 2014 and got baptized by the Holy Spirit in 2021 . I was in my bedroom praying and worshiping God, while listening to a worship instrumental and I started speaking in tongue for the first time of my life. Before that I believed in it but I wasn’t speaking yet , cause I had unconsciously a blockage in my mind thinking that some people making it up. And one day while watching a video of a minister on KZbin, he said you have to seek God for yourself, those words spoke to me like never before, so I activated my faith and seek God trough personal intimacy, personal prayer, and it happened. I spoke in tongues, and now my tongues even progressed and changes over time. Thank you Holy spirit. Guys God is real and wants to equipped you , stop being skeptical and seek God for yourself!!!

The gift; "knowledge of Word", is one of the important gifts Isaiah has. I once asked for an advice in the comment, and suddenly an old incident I never thought of, occured. I think a lot of as Christians including myself has doubt when it comes to speaking in tongues they start doubting if it is just them doing this gibberish and they're making it up or if it is through the Holy Spirit and it's naturally Just Happening. Because I have spoken in a language that I do not know and I'll never forget I had the stammering lips and a utterance and it was almost like when you feel like you get the cold shivers almost but not quite but my lips were stammering but after that I would start getting unbelief or doubt I think I would say more doubt that it was just me making these words myself up and I was really good at it, so I honestly believe in faith that we need to have more faith and believing that the holy spirit is taking over and it is the language that we are just talking to to God than to have any doubt at all when it comes to speaking.

I can relate to Jarrods childhood! I was baptized in 1990 and received tongues shortly after I was 10yo. My mom would sing in tongues at night a lot. Throughout the years my language has changed I sing worship in tongues. It's not to brag. at. ALL! This is to communicate excitement! And to shout from the rooftops that this is and should be normal!

Isaiah I was one of those people who didn’t think I needed this. Through many difficult situations, God moved me to a Holy Spirit filled church. It took me a while to believe in it but I ended up asking the Lord for it and I got it. It really was like a spiritual deficiency and my family is on fire for the Lord. I went to this convention last week with the expectation that I would be able to speak in tongues. It's not your typical convention, we were out in the woods, like 23km away from the town, and in the evening sessions which started at like 6 or 7 and go till like 10pm, all we did was worship and pray, and The Spirit would just begin manifesting as He liked, people will speak in tongues, people would prophecy, a lot of people just lost control of themselves, dancing, screaming, rolling on the floor, pacing, it was so awesome, like you could be so possessed by The Spirit and act crazy and nobody looks at you funny. On the last day, these guys came over, asked me if I wanted to pray in tongues, then he began praying in tongues himself, and he told me to speak, so I began calling God by all the names I could remember, as I kept getting louder and more intense, at a point I felt this tug in my gut, and my mouth started vibrating, and I started screaming, at the top of my lungs like a little girl. It was like He was opening up a channel in me. I just lay down on the floor thanking God for what He'd just done, after a while one of the guys came and asked if I could speak now, and I said I was only able to scream, so he laid his hand on my gut and asked me to say after him 'God has filled me with His Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues', then I just started saying 'flow, flow, flow', and then it started getting intense, then I felt the tug in my gut again and I just began muttering uncontrollably, it was as if a force was driving me forward, he had to hold me from slamming into the floor, or the wall. I did it 3 more times that night, that was the best night of my life. I need to practice more, because I'm not able to do it for long, and thankfully that tug in my gut isn't as tight as it was the first time, and I also need to pray in my understanding first and then as it intensifies I feel the pull and start to speak. I've done it everyday since then and I'm getting better at it each day. Here's an explanation that helped me understand it, because i was like 'what am i supposed to say?' and the founder of the ministry, he told me; it's like a generator, what matters is the electricity being generated inside, the noise doesn't matter. In the same way praying in tongues is generating Ghost power within us, and the words that come out of our mouths is just gen noise. That's why it doesn't matter if someone says the same words over and over, because it not the gen noise that matters, it's The Spirit stirring and the power generating on the inside that counts

Hello Linda. I know people who later (after hearing a teaching about tongues) say they just began to "babble". Also, there are false teachers who say anyone can speak in tongues, "just talk baby talk and do it loudly ". I encourage you to continue to pursue God and all that He has for you. Remember, above all the greatest is to love. So, even if you never genuinely speak in tongues, walk in love wherever you are.

I have had weird things happen when praying tongues, Once it was like holy Spirit was asking the Lord questions, and once he was singing rather than speaking. It's weird but pretty cool too. I used to not want to but then realized 'hey what if that's the one thing that's stopping blessings and possibly also an open door for demonic attacks, so I started doing it and now do it daily, whenever I feel like it.

Over a year ago I had in my heart to trust God and step out in faith and pray in tongues in church. I sometimes prayed in tongues privately but was never sure whether I was authentic or not. So that Sunday the pastor says offered the mic to anyone that has something they would like to share. So felt that God provided an opportunity for me to do this publically unto God. So I shared about God calling me to have a heart of a little child and trust Him. And then I prayed in tongues. I hoped that someone would have stood up and gave a word in response to that but it never happened. I hope that I heard God rightfully about praying in tongues but sometimes I doubt. I still talk in tongues privately but I fear to step out incase I’m not authentic.

In the situation of tongues being interpreted just as the Holy Spirit comes over you and you speak in tongues then in turn he will give The interpreter the ears to understand the Holy Spirit's message.

This is the truth about tongues that is in the Word of God in 1 Corinthians 14 read the whole chapter Speaking in tongues is the least of the gifts This is how we should speak in tongues in the church 1 Corinthians 14:5 I wish you would all speak in tongues, but even more I wish you would all prophesy The person who prophesies is greater than the person who speaks in tongues, unless ssomeone gives an interpretatiton, so that the congregation can be edified 1 Corinthian1 4:13 Therefore someone who speaks in a tongue should pray for the power to interpret 1 Corinthians 14:27 if the gift of tongues is practiced, let it be by two or at most three, and each in turn ; and let someone interpret in Acts 2 they were given tongues so they could tell people about Jesus in other languages Seek truth by staying in Gods Word - John 6;45

There's no revelation at all in the bible where anyone was assisted to speak in tongues or anyone through their own opening of mouth made or enabled tongues to occur, such act is going beyond what scripture writes, 1 Cor 4:6. Rather, biblically, a person just started to speak by God's miracle with no personal or assisted prompting - Acts 2, 10 & 19, just like the other 8 gifts are originally endowed upon believers (the full 8 and 9 not on every believer of course) with no human involvement. Any human impulse or prompting in tongues is entirely unbiblical/unscriptural and unquestionably humanly manufactured which is deception. For certain people, if they have a demon or are being influenced by one, the demon can inflict or take over a person's mouth and start to talk gibberish through them and therefore deceive them and others into thinking they are speaking in tongues, this is what so many today have been fooled by. Not saying that all are influenced by demons, the remaining is the manufactured type tongues conjured up by the person themselves particularly because there is no 'mystery' ('unintelligible') tongue but the bible in grounded truth clearly reveals that 'tongues' are exclusively human languages. The only true 'mystery' in this context are tongues of angels (1 Cor 13) which believers do not know angels' own language per no evidence in scripture of humans knowing it. The 'mysteries' word in 1 Cor 14:2 is the Holy Spirit simply saying that a human tongue language is a Mystery (as in unknown) to a person who for example does not speak French when such person is hearing a person speak in the human 'tongue' of French. Countless believers have misunderstood and overlooked this terribly and confused everything. Acts 2 and the OT references to the word 'tongue' in every case in the bible are simply revealing a human language of a particular region. When Paul says 'no one understands him' (the tongues speaker speaking French for example), he is making a general statement that most if not all people cannot understand the person who is speaking French in a particular setting, unless there is a french speaker there who interprets. It is a 'mystery' in a conversational sense in that 'no-one' knows a human language that they don't understand, and not that the person is speaking in the 'mystery' of an unintelligible spiritual language, the intent and nature of what Paul was meaning and conveying has been misunderstood. The teaching is error 🙏

I'm recently saved ab 4 months ago now but God's spirit is strong in me and I've bene seeking tons of answers and catch my self constantly being drawn to people and teaching people . I wanna understand this fully bc I've Also heard this all in the past of what your saying and wanna read it for myself before starting a podcast for the kingdom as I haven't finished reading the Bible yet(NKJV) Thanks for insight and God speed ❤

@@whodey4851 I've written about this extensively on social media re articles. It's great what you say about not wanting to misform, that was my desire when I started in ministry until now. I never write about a topic unless I read and study every reference to it in the OT and NT so that I am on to the full facts and truths about the subject across the 66 books in order that I can communicate authoritatively about it instead of just believing things from people that may 'sound good'. The always critical thing is that every practice or belief must have a relevation or sorts of it in the bible for it to be grounded as true in scripture, John 14:26, Jesus lays down there in John the biblical authority that everything must be rooted in what Jesus and therefore the Word has revealed. God says we will be judged by what the Word Reveals John 12:48, therefore deviating from the Word will be judged as false teaching which is very serious with serious consequences 2 Pet 2 🙏

I was baptized in the Holy Spirit and received the gift of tongues. The first thing I noticed was physical, my entire body experienced a tingling sensation. I'd pray in the Spirit going to sleep thus receive visions and dreams from the Lord. When laying on hands of the sick while praying in tongues they'd get healed, if I felt the power going through me. (Note: it didn't happen every time) Not going into detail, the Holy Spirit changed my entire life by giving me some gifts. I believe praying in tongues is a gift but like other gifts not everyone gets it. However, just because you don't have it don't say "it's not real" or "it's demonic". I can't say one prayer or method is better than another but in my experience for me it seems to activate the Holy Spirit in a powerful way.

Because I just thought that if you have the gift of tongues you should be able to speak in other languages I’m just confused maybe I need to finish this video and rebuke my bipolar I’m believing for healing and maybe this will help me I’m so confused about this. Not to offend anyone in this comment section because I’m sure you believe that this is authentic, but it’s not true. Read the scriptures and dig deep to understand what the gift was for and what it actually was. God isn’t one of confusion and gifts that serve yourselves. Tongues was a gift used for those who didn’t know the Gospel to hear it in their language. But this interpretation of tongues is very new and that should already be a red flag. This misuse of “tongues” is just babbling to God without interpretation, context, or clarity. All that to say, brothers and sisters, study the scriptures so that you may worship the Lord in both spirit and truth. Love you and peace be with you all.

For me I knew I had it ...But I wouldn't submit because it didn't sound like others that I heard in church so it never felt real /authentic I didn't trust the language....I was watching sid roth and a child was talking to God in tongues but was saying the alphabet...her parents were doubtful in it ..and she said God puts the words together...then it clicked..by faith we speak and God to interpret and not everyone's gift in tongues sounds the same and that's ok..the more i trusted my gift in tongues i stated to pray longer in it than any other way without ceasing...in English i run out of words ...but as the word saids out of the belly flows rivers of living water...we dont understand what we pray but we trust the holy Spirit to pray for us on our behalf to the father a language that no one understands but the son the father and the spirit.
