Just one small correction. You mentioned during its initial serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump, Steel Ball Run was categorized as a different series without the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure title, which is correct. However, the change was a request from the editorial department in an attempt to attract reader attention by introducing a "new series". This was undone when the series moved to Ultra Jump in 2005, specifically in the May 2005 issue where the Jojo name was re-added to the title and the chapter numbering was reset. The reason for that is Araki has mentioned on the volume cover spreads, despite the name alternation, he wrote Steel Ball Run as the seventh part of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure from the very start. otherwise good video.

Araki was at his peak artistic power in the mid and end of sbr. I mean he started drawing noses for God sake! And we all know know that only a minority of mangakas draw noses

@@adhamsalem9121i agree, there are some boring parts. i guess as long as you know the story beats and haven’t completely dodged the whole series it might be fine. i love part 7 so much and I’m glad i read it and had no spoilers whatsoever. it will be so great to hear the voice actors, see the opening and endings, and watch all in motion.

Another good reason to read is that it's probably going to be quite a while before the adaptation as horses are very difficult to animate and I believe DPro is just gonna have to take their time to get it right.

Yeah but that has a major plus point too. As SBR anime gonna take a long while to come out so when you watch it youll be delighted ans entertained again as it will have been a long time since you read the manga

​@@yonkoluffy09 Both have their merits. If you like the more realistic lighting and color palette of the anime then go ahead and wait. The manga is really good but there's a lot of frames towards the end of part one that would really shine in camera motion.

You mentioned many good points to why SBR is great, and it deserves to be read even if and when it gets animated, it deserves to be enjoyed and read by the fans. High key, I actually LOVE steel ball run so much. I found out via close friends that they just couldn't get into reading SBR, and as for other fans, some individuals didn't like the fandub on YT. So for these last few months, I wanted to do my best to make the manga feel "alive". I've sorta been trying to make an "episode" and space out the chapters so anyone can follow along and actually read SBR while we wait for the real thing.

i dont know if you havent read or watched the series from the start but one of the reasons that makes SBR as good as it is, is all the references to characters and events from the previous parts (high voltage arc) for instance so reading SBR without consuming the previos parts would 100% lessen your enjoyment while reading. SPOILERS: the whole HIGH VOLTAGE arc and the reveal of dios stand being the world would just be that without knowing dio from part 3 it wouldn't be as great and shocking and iconic and the reveal of johnny being the AU of the OG jonathan would have no meaning at all without reading parts 1 though 6 and and other references like the spin being the AU hamon and a lot of other things also seeing araki use posers in better ways than other parts like how he used in a silent way as the AU of echos but better I'm not hating but I think reading SBR right away is just wrong and will ruin ur experience

I agree with you that the references to the previous parts are great (ive read / watched them all), but I do believe that for some people, they may not want to commit hours on end to watch the previous parts just so that they can understand the references. The point I was trying to make is that some people might go, for example, on MAL, and see that SBR is pretty much the #1 manga, and want to read it, but then see it is the "7th part" in the series. I was basically just stating that if you really want to read it, not knowing what happens in the previous parts won't necessarily make you unable to understand this one. You won't get the references, but the story / visuals are still very good, and it stands very well on its own without the other parts.

The visuals are stunning. The anime does a great job at delivering the content in the manga, but being able to stare at some of the panels for as long as you want truly is an experience.

Not only is the fact that SBR is the best manga, it's also one of the most known Manga after it's release. Since I've finished SBR and Jojolion, I can say that SBR feels like part 1-3 and Jojolion from part 4 obviously. But Jojolands is more part 5 than 6

Wait, is the manga in English yet? I live in Germany and I tried to go in a lot of manga shops but didn't get lucky as there wasn't even part 6, I then tried to search online on Amazon and discovered that there are only japanese, spanish or french volumes. Steel Ball Run is the first Manga that I started reading as I was an anime enjoyer, but after part 6, I wasn't satisfied because the end was like "strange"

From what I understand it's not available in english. I read it in french since it's my first language and it was translated in Europe. You can find english translations online.
