My research reveals that the elite NBA superstars use their feet in an unique way that allows them to tap into the arch power of the feet and at the same time engage glutes properly.

Xie really has a lot of videos on this subject. I wanted to know more and each video just brings clarity from a different angle. The lebrom video, training with the kids and now this one... about to click that shaolin monk one..

that force graph showing hard landing is on the body is why we see all the savvy nba vets get to the rim, hang, and drop. lot of the bounce rookies that get injured absorb all that force on the body. but the rim is there so we dont have to

Chong, your videos have been really helpful and intriguing. I have a question about changing direction when making basketball moves. For instance when changing direction from right to left, how should one push of the right foot? I notice that sometimes I push off the entire ball of my right foot and sometimes I push off more on the left side of it. What is the best method?

best method is the hyperarch mechanism and using glutes. build strong connection from the foot to the glutes.

arch confirmed powerful geometric shape. opening the arch shoves the knees out. caved knees, no arch, valgus knee. this is not what we want

I appreciate you! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. This was very valuable and I knew that from the start because you base yourself in biomechanics and physics. I really appreciate that as a refreshing change from the norm

For some reason i have really big calfs but i cant jump as high as other people that have barely any muscle in their legs, is that cause of flat feet??
@HyperarchFasciaTraining
@HyperarchFasciaTraining 10 жыл бұрын
it's really the feet that have to be strong, calf size doesn't matter, but is your calf soft or hard? if its soft it's not being used.

so if im right your feet should always be stronger than any force your legs could produce right? at least to prevent injuries so the way to train would be to strengthen your feet then the rest of your leg and glutes then feet then leg and so on right?
@HyperarchFasciaTraining

you see through the facade of the sports medicine. they never mention about strengthen the foot. The foot needs to be the strongest, the elegant solution to our body is that the foot has a function to engage the glutes.

Can I still use the hyperarch mechanism if i'm flat footed? I have bilateral rigid flat feet. it hasn't given me any problems pain wise and i'm actually pretty athletic, but i've been trying to increase my vertical when I jump I seem to be favoring my quads. Lately with the vertical jump exercises, I am getting jumpers knee on my left knee because I am landing on my toes without my heel so all the weight is on my quadriceps/patellar tendon. Any ideas how I can better activate my posterior chain with flat feet?

Hey Chong, I'm a track sprinter and cross country runner. I got my first shin splints from cross country and I have flat feet that my physical therapist said. How do I rid shinsplints? By building my arch back? Did I lost my arch? Im kinda a new beginner in running but I rested for months and when I ran it came back instantly. Thank you.
@HyperarchFasciaTraining
@HyperarchFasciaTraining 8 жыл бұрын
By trainining hyperarch you will get rid of your shinsplints. it's not how HIGH your arch is, you could be relatively flat, but as long you are triggering the mechanism in the arch it will help you. Once your feet are good you will experience a morphological process known as the Hyperarch Morpholoigcal Process(TM), when your feet morphs into optimal Hyperarch shape, your glutes will become stronger through fascia. and you will be athletic.

Hi Chong, Nice video on the strength of an "arched" bridge. And in the spirit of asking questions, are you comparing a person with a flat foot ( pronated ) with a person with a more normal arched foot ? Or is that the same person's foot that can be both flat or arched ? Best, LA Guy
@HyperarchFasciaTraining
@HyperarchFasciaTraining 10 жыл бұрын
it's the same person with relaxed foot over time in the shoe. it's an exaggeration but you get the point. This has nothing to do with ppl with flat foot, that's different.

Hey Chong, looked into your videos... Interesting topic. Got a question for you. If someone is flat footed like myself, have always been my whole life, does that mean I'm screwed and I'll never be as athletic than someone with an arched foot? Have you seen anyone who's flatfooted change and be able to activate that mechanism you speak of? I'm 36 yrs old by the way, too late for me to do this?

chanko69 I m 33, I have few 40 + years barefoot runners practicing it and getting results. It doesn't matter it's about how you use the feet, also the feet morphs over time, most ppl experience change physically in the feet, including Roman foot turning into Greek foot.
