I think you might want to up the volume on your videos a bit, they are very quiet when clicking off any other video on YT. This one especially.

music is loud at the end though. this is what you get for having everything blasting through studio speakers😅

@@soundsgoodright No he's right, your video is significantly quieter than the other videos I've been watching today. Just put a limiter on it or automate it - anything really.

that was a sick beat. bandcamp when? also yep, resonance is great. i'd even say it's the key to the beauty of music. just thinking about how it's made. you let a filter go so hard it is at the edge of breaking out into chaos, but you hold it right there, where it just extends some frequencies a bit. that's such a nice feeling. and a lot of noises of the real world are made like that, for example everything that comes from strings, like guitars or pianos, which is why the whole concept of physical modelling exists. resonators are the main components of those. they are like the big bang of sounddesign

nice little bit of inspo. Resonance adds so much depth to anything musical

big time. i struggle to start anything without it. might remove it once i've started to build the track but it's absolutely vital to me when i'm starting something new.

I don't got resonator tho, I'm trying rn with Ableton's resonators, it has less control and it seems to be a little harder to get that beautiful but still fun, my sound got ok with some verb, ott and eq on top 😂

@@dj_rain i watched a great vid on how to use the resonator on ableton to make ambient tracks. the key is to filter your sound and warp it before resonating i think. might do a vid on that.

I'm guessing that Reason Studios' Objekt can be used to similar effect(?)

Oooh that’s a nice tip. I wonder if you could use multiple specifically pitched resonators in parallel to get any chord you need

didn't go into it but you can create separate chords on rezonator to build sequences. i'll do a vid on that maybe.

i couldn;t find anything in built but i'll see if there's a free plugin. i believe ableton comes with something similar in built.

I'm able to get something similar using the ES P (Polyphonic synth) with a plugin chain: ChromaVerb, Compressor, Amp. I used the chromaverb 100% wet and do about 10 dbs of compression.

that scratching sound in the beat is hella cheesy. Ruins it for me. But nice otherwise
