Thank you 😊. It’s very relaxing. More relaxing than Penang. And I really ❤️ the short drive to Kuala Sepetang for makan by the river. Cheers, Victor

Brilliant, more places I want to visit my bank will have a fit as I spend money flying 😂 Although I'd be happier knowing how to speak some of the language which I'm afraid won't be possible as I have no one to teach me here. Learning Nepali is hard enough 😭

😂🤣😂…you won’t have a problem speaking English here in Malaysia. Lots of tourists and Malaysia was a British colony and part of Commonwealth. Malaysians are friendly people and very welcoming to visitors to our country. When I traveled to Portugal in 2017, I tried learning some basic words using Apps. Google translator is helpful too. Although the message may get lost in translation t😅

@@foodtripwithvictor Nice one, Ill have to learn the basics like hello, thank you, and your food is amazing 👍 Learning Nepali, I can use translators but like you say the meaning gets lost so only way is for me to check with my Nepali friends.

@@stever456 …🤣. Easy. Hello is the same “hello”. Thank you is “terima kasih” and your food looks amazing, I would usually just say “umm..sedap lah”. The word sedap means tasty. And you can point at the food when you say it. Universal language use fingers, body language or facial expressions 😂😂😂 that’s how I get buy in a non-English country. Your trip is coming up soon, right? Have a good and safe trip.

Hi may I ask, do you think it is safe for solo female traveller to visit Tai Ping? Especially to walk around in the evening?
@foodtripwithvictor Жыл бұрын
It was a short visit for me. It feels safe to me but I was there in the daytime. Taiping lake as I know is popular with locals walking and exercising. I suspect in the evening there are people walking before it gets too dark. You need to use your own discretion. Like any other places, don’t walk in the dark alone especially in an environment that you’re not familiar. Malaysia is a safe country and Taiping is a small city or a large town. It’s difficult for me to advise you as I’m neither a local Taiping nor a female who walks alone in a park in the dark. Stay alert and be safe and enjoy yourself in Taiping. It’s a friendly town. Cheers, Victor
