As a native English speaker, I want to say to anyone learning English, that Steve and Veronika are 100% correct: you shouldn't worry at all about being able to speak 'perfect' english (even native english speakers make grammatical and spelling mistakes). Many English speakers really enjoy the opportunity to meet people from other countries that making small mistakes is hardly a problem at all. And besides, it is impressive to hear that someone has come such a long way in learning another language, even if there are mistakes.
@dtn60002 жыл бұрын
@Banen Land I think you definitely can. Of course it helps a lot if you happen to live in a country where english is spoken quite a bit and you are forced to hear and speak it all the time, but I think you can reach native level fluency even without doing so. It will obviously take some work though :) For example, the guy on the channel 'Matt vs Japan' is a native english speaker who learned Japanese so well that even Japanese natives can't tell him apart from other native Japanese speakers. And the nice thing about English in this case is that there are so many varieties/accents (UK, Australia, Canadian, US, and many different accents within those countries) that it will be easier to sound 'native' than say a language that maybe has less variety.

Learning languages is the world's greatest privilege that we might have. I admire how great, wise and good Steve Kauffman and you Veronika are. Learning a new language requires a lot of effort, cleverness, discipline, motivation, encouragement, time and above all practice. It's absolutely a huge passion to developing our personality even further. Polyglots are fantastic into our society because they're learning multiple languages to surprise anyone in the world. In my case, I'm fairly interested in language learning because I think it is becoming a big passion for me. I'm really used to the English language because it's everywhere, English is the undisputed global language nowadays and I love it. Making mistakes when speaking English and making a few spelling mistakes doesn't matter because we all make mistakes all the time when learning any language. There will always be several mistakes in our path to the fluency because they're part of the learning process and we can always learn from our own mistakes to improve our language skills and relationships. I think it's time to change the current perspective we have about how changing the world is by ourselves. Lastly, my target languages aside from English and Spanish are: French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Turkish, Russian and Ukrainian. It sounds breathtaking and interesting, right? I know perfectly well that it'll take a long time to do so. It will be worth it, though. Wonderful ❤❤❤ !!!

But what about accent. I can speak English but in Indian accent😁
@strongman3355 Жыл бұрын
@@amanchoudhary276 Accent is a matter of individuality. The most important thing is just having a clear and comprehensible pronunciation. Achieving a native speaker's accent is possible if you know ways of accomplishing it and harnessing them correctly. It is really important to understand that obtaining an accent is a really long run process. We have to be patient,not grumpy or whatever. Good luck on that.

Focus in the input in the beginning of your journey learning the language , and when the opportunity arises you'll be able to speak even thought you'll face some difficulties. And it's completely fine to make mistakes . What matter is the conversation.

It's has been a long journey! but still I am so happy, I've paid a course of english and im doing for six months, my dream always were had the opportunity to work on a cuise ship, then I studied so hard until i do that, and i did! i just got the work, i passed the interview. I know that it dot not will be easy, just work a litle bit every day, train your listening, speaking and of course, don't be shy hahaa i know its not easy because there are people that just laughs when you're trying, but just think, this people are the type that know about your potential and everthing that you can do! keep going, don't give up! I never believed in myself, but i never losed my faith and never stopped to dream. At that I know I'm far about being fluency but day per day i just got there! keep trusting in channels like this that really try to help, give the credit for those! thank you, Veronika, huges from Brazil!

He has the right, motivation is important. A beautiful girl with s nice voice plays a role. I never think to drive in another country or can afford it, but reading texts in another language is also a motivation. If the budget is very small, it is good to have a cheap hobby that makes fun. Now I have a question about the many vocabularies. Belong it to fluently speaking, to know for example the kinds of insects, animals, flowers, or trees?

My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!
