• Resistance Negative energies , for example: Excuses , procrastination , self-doubt. How to controle the resistances , put the stakes really high. (for example , becoming a doctor is not easy , a lot of ppl try and fail.) • Gotta be a professional in your studies Professionals train every single day (morning , afternoon and weekend's) , even if you don't feel motivated or are ill. • Build habits For example , when you brush your teeth , you are not motivated , but it's a habit and you have to do it. • Remember why you do that Remember what motivates you. Hopefully that helps anybody , and thank you Anas for the greats videos you make.

Hi Anas, I hope you’re doing good. I’m a student, 18 to be exact. I’m currently studying to become a dentist. I have an exam in 6-7 months in another country from where I live. I experience this “Resistance” everyday & I couldn’t really explain the feeling... It’s so bad that it’s made me worry so much about the exam that I’ve started getting heart aches. I study 6-7 hours a day and still think that I’m 100% gonna fail. Thank you so much for these videos explaining how simple, yet advanced a simple task, like, studying can be. I hope you succeed even more in life.

I’ve just completely changed from being someone who’s always studying and who’s good at it to just not caring anymore. Like, I sit at my desk and I just can’t be bothered to actually study. I’ve failed my second year in uni last year and I’m still not motivated enough to pass everything this year. I feel desperate af. Is this a sign I should just stop and do something else in life?

hey buddy, i just wanna say you are doing good so dont let one fail to stop u..i have been in the same situation as u befor and i know how much it's shattering and disappointing. hence here is my little addvice to u, if u like what u are studying and feel that u really wanna work in this feild then all u have to do is change your study habbits! maybe u do study many hours but u dont study productively..give yourself a chance and prove to yourself that u can do it

"it gets easier.. every day, it gets a little easier. but you gotta do it every day. that's the hard part. but it does get easier" Don't give up, everybody is going to fail at sth in their life, but it's important that you stand up again. I'm in my 2 year of uni and trust me in the first year i really did want to give up, i thought i'm in the wrong field that i miscalculated everything and that i'm not made to do it. But then i started searching from the beginning, ask yourself why you are doing it. Write a list and everytime you feel the lost of motvation look at that list and try to get as near as you can to your goal. It won't be easy but it will be worth it.

Thanks for putting this creative spin on procrastination. Getting over that resistance is achievable when we can recognise it’s happening. Raising the stakes is definitely helpful. And potentially normalising those goals/tasks so that creative rationalising has no place, & we just spring into action automatically because we’ve instilled good habits. Studying for med entry exams and university bridging courses during summer holidays (in this part of the world :)). Thanks for the motivation boosting tips!

I’m a senior in high school in Jordan, and it’s a HUGE deal here. Unlike other countries, your whole future counts on THIS specific year (or at leasts how people deal with it) I don’t really NEED a high grade, since the major I’m choosing at college doesn’t really need that of a high grade, but the competition is high. There are 4 students in my neighborhood who are working so hard to get the best grades, whilst I can’t even bother to study, as much as I wanted to, as much as I wanted to get into this flow state I always failed. Until a few weeks ago, I realized I was taking a wrong approach to my study, I can’t just start studying 12 hours a day, even if my life depended on it. But I wish instead of wasting all of this time forcing myself to try and study all this time and then failing miserably, I wish I tried to study just one hour and then gradually increase that. Only one month left until my finals, with 7 subjects to cover from front to back. I don’t know how i’ll do it, but I will.
