I think there’s a difference yeah. Maybe like in fully immune hosts, which our playable characters are stated to be, the worm gets in, but does nothing, in fact, idles around, not reproducing, not moving far from their injection points. From there, they’re easy to pull out. But the whole of the resistance isn’t all immune. That’d be near impossible. So these who are written infected, they probably weren’t immune. Probably stayed inside their safe zones, until the Ridden broke in, as the start of the video states.

This does look like a hard one. i think chemicals weapons would be a most have. So, it would be mostly coming down to if you can find a bio chemist, and chemicals. As he said in the video, the worm could adept to the gas you're using. This is why a bio chemist would be a most have. I don't think a chemist could do it, as they don't know biology enough to fight adaptions. Though, the problems with this is you need to protect yourself from the gas; you would need to source pure elements, or be able to purify things into elements; at last you would need a bio chemist.

With the release of DL2 its proven that crane DID NOT infect anyone else and the intro into the game saying “Harran. An entire city wiped off the map.” Proves that crane either did not turn and nuked the city in The Following DLC as a secret ending or the GRE firebombed the entire city having disregard for cure research later on as they could make another. The event known as “The Fall of 2022” was a major thing that happened when the GRE still had strains of the THV (The Harran Virus) and the mutated strains ended up escaping laboratories making it spread more rapidly and causing it to be more deadly. Humanity, years later, survived but in very very small remnants proving this virus was more dangerous than original strains.

A few months ago i actually had an idea for a zombie archetype. Known as the buzzer, the idea is a colony of venomous wasps have burrowed into a dormant zombies torso and made a hive inside. The sign one is nearby is the buzzing of the wasps. As it shambles towards humans, wasps will fly out and sting the humans, leading to blurred vision. If you kill the zombie with a shotgun or explosives, the torso bursts open, leading to an angry swarm flying at you.

The worms avoid her because she’s ether old, or she’s hiding a fatal illness from the group (the later being my theory due to the personal offense and pain she took from it) So, there are people who don’t get infected. Wether from the genetic immunity, to aging to the point the worms no longer wish for that person as a host (although seeks their death all the same)(Or terminal, permanent illnesses could cause them to ignore) The worms will not work with these certain hosts. The exact source isn’t known, and is impossible to know now, given how few scientists and doctors remain in this apocalypse.

I am surprised you did not bring this up in why you would not survive? Food The ridden go after animals we can eat to be carriers, infected, or just stripping and contaminating the meat into something humans can't eat. Farms, lakes, and waterways are the center of infections, making most planets that grow near said bodies of water unsuitable or casualties to burning off all the foliage and crops needed to survive. So, unless they make a significant number of green houses to feed them, then the survivors will have limited choices in what to eat once they run out of canned food that has not been infected and destroyed by the ridden. I mean, humans had to resort to cannibalism after being stuck in the middle of nowhere during winter, and this infection is taking away the ability to hunt for food.

The game is great. I legitimately think nothing will please the "gamers" of today. They will always find reasons to be unhappy no matter what and it's sick. It's one thing to call out blatant malpractice like the battlefront lootbox system that ruined a whole series we loved from childhood. And then being mad Back4Blood isn't exactly like LFD. Does anyone not remember when LFD came out? Barely any content and very sub par graphics. Yet it becomes one of the most iconic zombie shooters ever. And then LFD2 came out just a year later and was nothing than a $5 expansion just a few new characters and maps. Yet again we all still love it and happily paid full price for it. If LFD were to come out with the gamers and criticism of now it would be torn apart and called a $10 game sold for $60 graphical trash cash grab. To be fair, it makes much sense that the world was easily overtaken because it's so aggressive. I wish TV shows/movies actually had special variants and different type of zombies like videos games might have. Take The Walking Dead, it's so hard to see the military overthrown by groups of zombies. But in a B4B world? They'd obviously suffer and struggle seeing as there are so many variants, bosses and even ahving the ability to make nests.

Didn't play this game yet, but my favorite Ridden is definately the Hag. Because, it's an actual nightmare, the design, the way it attack, and just gonna runaway after eating a survivor, so it can digest it peacefully, ugh, it's just scary.

@@WowSuchGaming here's how you can survive an attack by the infected without any immunity or terminal disease you wear armor that is not only made out of something stronger than the biomass accumulated by the ridden but but you also wear something that makes you so or you have armor that is so thick that even if it is less terrible than the biomass that's been made available to the ridden no attacks can reach your meat suit or just stay in a self-sustaining orbital satellite or on a different planet with a self-sustaining ecosystem as long as we didn't make it there you are safe which can be done

because it was so painfully average, undercooked, unfinished and abandoned quick as its entire lifecycle was a mess with dodgy updates, changes and constant missteps, hell the card system and building it up through a run(Act) which made the game deeper and more interesting they cut out half way through and let you start with all cards from the jump made it even more shallow and more average when you look at it as a whole you wont be saying this, i liked it and enjoyed it for what it was but it was a 6/10, i love zombies so thats probably why i enjoyed it as it did nothing special or well

Being made by TurtleRock, and considering their Abomination endgame form, I feel like the worms are an invasive parasitoid (asteroid crater makes that obvious) that would normally compete against creatures like Evolve's rapidly mutating monsters in its own ecosystem, where more things would be immune to it and eat up the worms on sight.

Doc has some really interesting dialogue about this parasite. Also what u forgot to mention, adding on to her quote of : that parasites like virusses need to mutate to survive, some survivors like Jim will ask Doc if they will keep staying immune to the devil worm despite it mutating and Doc her response is 'Only time will tell'. Makes me think of a crazy corruption card they can add, where you get a infection meter and each hit of a ridden increases the bar, only to reduce the bar by using medical cabinets and First aid kits. And if the infection meter is full, you die. But the ridden can easily hit you, outnumber you and close the distance. I think it be to hard for random teams. Just a idea. :)
