As a non-native English speaker, the last tip hit me. When I overthink about myself and other people's perceptions of me, my mind just blanks and I can't deliver the professionalism that I know I have, even the language skills go away. Thanks for sharing that reflection :)

Would love to hear your take on communicating what’s most important vs. sounding like a leader

This was a great topic and so important to be aware of. Thinking about your discussion of Drive By Communication - not only can it cause conflict and frustration, but also anxiety too. For example, telling an employee leaving the office. "John...I need to meet with you tomorrow at 8am to discuss a few things." Or worse, if you want to ruin an entire weekend, say something like that on Friday afternoon when the person is leaving. We need to remember that the message received is seldom the message sent.

I loved this. Learned alot! I have to coach Peer to peer communication within my team. I am not sure how to coach that.. when I need help with that myself 😅

I definitely agree with the points you brought up. How to practice letting go what others think or how you sound and just confidently focus on the central message you’re trying to get across?

This was great Mac! Recently, the message that i communicated was not the message received or translated. This was helpful

I found that out with myself. I'm in new positions for over 1yr and I feel like a pinball and come across ineffective. Appreciate you. 1st time with you and I'm just rolling through one video after another.
