why your electric winch isn't working

Have a 2015 Polaris Sportsman with a Polaris 2500lb HD winch. Battery died and had to be replaced. Once it was replaced the winch didn't work. It just goes click click. Took it to the dealer and they said, bad contactor. Since they wanted over $300 for labor to put in a new one, I purchased a new one and put it in. Same thing, click click. Terminals all looked good. I put dialectic grease on connections. I was told the winch motor was ok when they put power direct to it. They also said the switch was ok since it clicks. What else could be the proble? Any thought? Thanks...Dave

Could be the high current wires to the winch
