If your EVH D-Tuna isn't working correctly, this might be why.

Yes it works fine with my standard Floyd but there are still tuning issues so I am going to install a block stopper to stabilize the bridge position. You can get the with a heavy duty spring to allow for a bit off pull back. Mostly its to stabilize the bridge floating position.

Well shoot! I was about to order one of these things now I’m afraid to. I have a sh-ton of shredder guitars but all of them are Ibanez of some type or other. My oldest guitar is an Ibanez RG560from the late 80’s-early 90’s. All the rest are fairly newer guitars like JS series with the Edge Zero trems and I have a few JEM777’s that have the Ibanez FR style or copy trems. I think my JS140 has an Edge Zero II and it looks like it’s ver straight. Wonder it that would work??

I am having a problem but I am suspecting that I am using it on a Jackson Fusion with an original FR Trem? The Fusion has a 24 & 3/4" neck scale so I am thinking that is affecting why I can't get it to work? Most Super Strats are 25 & 1/2" scale?? Any comments??

I have a Cort Kx5 fr and I installed this EVH tuna but it just drops half tone, I tuned it in D and after pushing the EVH it goes to Eb and not E. Why is that? Thank you 🙏🏼

It has to be adjusted to your trem. If yours is a Floyd Rose or copy of a Floyd it should be able to work. I tried one on an original Ibanez Edge trem and I couldn't get it to work.

Sale issue as well, when pistes in the Low E is in Eb. Also, all the other strings become slightly out of tune

Does it have to be an exact FR Original, or will it suffice with say the FR Special? That's what my Wolfgang is currently equipped with, however I did upgrade to a set of Original hardened steel saddles.

It should work fine with the FR special.

I had a 1990 RG550 with an original Ibanez Edge tremolo, and I had absolutely no issues whatsoever after I installed the D-Tuna

Installed one myself as of late, However in Standard tuning, the low E string doesn't go toward D but rather D sharp.

Thanks. I have a Wolfgang I love it. Really fun guitar to play. I definitely think installing this would just add to the spank.

I was going to install this with a tremol no so I can set my trem to float or dive only I had the misconception that you tune the guitar to standard tuning and use the d tuner to change to drop d but I found out that you tune to drop tuning then use the d tune to switch to standard tuning so I figured if you set the Floyd to float in drop d you would be able to pull up but when you engage the d tuner you would have to be in dive only mode I might just get it and do some experimenting to find out for my self and post my results I might also make a video I also saw you can leave it floating with a trem stabilizer so I’m thinking about experimenting with having a trem stabilizer, tremol no and d tuner installed at the same time to get full function of my Floyd while it’s floating andbeing able to use the d tuner to quickly switch between standard to drop d I can contact you once I made my findings

A tremol-no should stabilize your Floyd so you can use a D-Tuna and still float from what I understand.

Hi! You was your experiment go? Would you able to use the floyd full floating in both standard and dropped?

Ibanez Edge trems SUCK! They made a bunch of different versions and they all take specific parts. I took my RG's and removed the original stud bushings and drilled out bigger holes to get a Floyd Rose to fit. I set the Floyd bushings in where I want them, pin them in place with toothpicks on the eccentric side gap, and drop fiberglass resin into the gap to cement them in. Then I can throw a $100 Floyd Special in there and actually get parts if anything happens to fail. It's a bunch of work but I love RG's, so I gotta maim 'em a little to make them work.

If I install this would I only be able to have the Floyd fully floating while in drop tuning and dive only when I use the d tuna to switch to standard tuning I really like the concept and I’m interested in getting one I just had this one question I need answered before I pull the trigger so to speak
@briangray64763 жыл бұрын
Not with floating. It’ll throw the whole thing out of tune. Eddie’s Floyd never went sharp so it never threw a tune.

I'm having similar issues. If you tighten the d-tuna fine tuning screw it locks against the string anchor bolt. If you loosen the fine tuning screw you'll have freedom to move but you can't fine tune to E.
