I'm just sick of my hair (usually kept short on top... Never more than 1-1½ inches), sticking up when wet. I tend to brush it forward and you'll always see a bunch of hairs sticking straight up. Even if my hair gets wet from the rain, this happens. With or without product in.

I used to have that blonde California hair look when I was younger my hair would actually go down but it was thick ASF for many years I cut my hair short especially since I started to see thinning spots etc. But now that I'm trying to let it grow out it's pretty much like a white guy's afro it just completely sticks out everywhere. I have a different problem. I have just started cutting my hair very short because of covid. I am using a hair clipper and they can't do longer than 2 inches. 2 inches was much longer so I'm doing 1 1/2 inches on top and upper sides, and half an inch on back and lower sides. My problem, ALL of the hair on top of my head sticks straight up - while hair on the upper sides the same length lies flat. Mousse causes it to stick straight up and look spiky. I am 63 and used to have thick hair, but now it's hard to hide the scalp with short hair. It's straight. It has always had a mind of its own. ????!!!!
