This Gloriosum is my only crawling Philodendron and I already want to chop and propagate so I can make moooooore. The heart shaped leaves are the CUTEST 🥰
I do love a climbing Philodendron on a moss pole, but this one is making me rethink my favorites 🙃

my pothos is doing something similar. you can tell what was the original plant, and what's all new leaves since I repotted it. it's on it's third pot and pretty soon might start climbing my walls (I cant let it drape over stuff because my cats will eat it, so up it goes, with supports)

@@VikramSingh-wb5kt mine haven't grown any yet, but I'd assume so. They might just grow off to the side and you'll have to stick it into the pot yourself, or you can just cut it off. This is all assuming they would behave the same as deliciosas, which I can't confirm

It may be wanting to climb and having nothing to climb some are crawlers but a lot are epiphytes they will like a moss pole better and size up better plus a long pot is super temporary

@@ohtheplacesyoullgrow wow what plant is it? I wonder if you can force a crawling plant to grow up a moss pole. I think a long pot is temporary like you can’t make it longer you need an even longer pot is what I meant. Idk what mansplaining means so I’m gonna choose to not comment on that

So for plants that crawl rather than climb, you can just plant in a long horizontal planter and the aerial roots will grow into the soil as it grows!

I’m not the creator but I do own plants and that could be an indication that it’s being watered too much!! It’s harmless but if you want you can just change out the top layer of soil or just let it dry out. I had the same problem with one of my pothos plants and it went away within a couple weeks:)
@ohtheplacesyoullgrow

Definitely could be mold, which is a sign that the soil is staying moist for too long. You scan scrape out the top, sprinkle cinnamon to keep it from coming back and monitor your watering habits to ensure soil is dying out between waterings
