New Year reset content is already in the works!! What New Years videos would you love to see? ✨
@alinabelousova3 жыл бұрын
Could you show us your life admin day in preparation for the new year's clean slate? Plus your regular new year's advice, creating a fresh start etc. How to review last years' achievements, what worked, what didn't. Thank you, Michelle. Your videos are very informative - I wish you did more life admin days, as they are the most motivational and feel less scripted. You are doing a great job in practicing what you are preaching.

I’d like to review last year’s goals to set up feasible January goals to inform the next month’s. I added “running” last year but found out my knees weren’t strong enough to do that and feel slightly guilty for not completing these. So perhaps a blurb about trying and figuring out that it doesn’t work for you vs not sticking to a schedule is different

An updated version of your weekly reset! And maybe tips for creating a small one? I don't want to spend much time weekly planning but I want it to be effective. I love your previous weekly reset vides!

I feel decisions on big live events (marriage, kids, buying a home) and in general questions about the future so hard and scary. I would love a video about the topic (research - or is it just me -, tips, how you deal with it...) 😅👍😊

Honestly, my biggest goal right now is to be less focused on my productivity and more on just being. I don’t hear my intuition or my needs when all there is is a designed next step. The less I focus on doing and let my mind just wander, the more I hear what I am excited about and my motivation comes from reconnection to passion rather than being a ‘productive human’, 2022 is about unearthing a passionate being and leaving everyone else’s systems to their own business.

I love this. I would * never * recommend having a productivity system to anyone that didn't actually feel a need for it (e.g. struggling to take action and get things done, poor memory, struggling to prioritise, etc). If you can work intuitively and that suits your mind, I think that's 100% the best path for you!

Amen- it’s nice to have the skills to be productive when we just have to get practical crap done- but I agree with you, time to let go of our cultural obsession with productivity, we under appreciate the work that is more creative, open ended, free form, associative, and Experiential.

I'm noticing a lot of people in the "productivity space" on KZbin realizing that wholesome living and a fulfilling life are not about doing as much as possible every day. A mind that has time and freedom to wander and play can discover what truly matters and excites it. When I think back to my childhood and how idleness led to exploration, creativity and marvelling at the wonders of the world, I can't help but worry about what we're giving up by living by a schedule every day.

My 2022 goal is to find easier/ more efficient ways to do the things I need to, and more regular check ins with myself for this same reason! I can never relax thinking ‘ugh I need to empty the little box’ so if I can create a system which makes that smoother, I can spend my time just existing:

What I find productivity doesn’t account for is unexpected need for rest- if a day turns out to be stressful or I get a headache any system of productivity I make ends up being irrelevant because I know pushing through almost 100% makes it worse. In other words I find productivity implies a certain robotic Consistency rather than human needs, varying levels of energy and mental or physical ability over the course of a day.

I just started doing the whole “ brain dump “ thing this year cause it was just too much, and my fist writing day, I wrote 3 pages front to back. :/ butt wow it was sooo helpful! Now that I know it works for me..I do it all the time! I now have a system and it’s been amazing!

Rice, cashews, tamari, and dried seaweed sounds tasty. I would probably make sure that the cashews are roasted for more flavor. My hunger aside, it would be cool to see a video discussing work cycles and interstitial journaling. It's the first time I have come across those concepts. Do you already have one made on those topics and the other productivity routines aside from bullet journaling (it's the only one I recognized by name)?

The problem with planning with buffer time, for the worst case scenario, is that Parkinson's law is going to take place: a task takes all the time allotted for it. I guess it depends on the person, too
@muchelleb3 жыл бұрын
I thought about this too! But my theme for the year is actually "slow" ~ so I'm feeling giving myself a little more time to get things done.
