My routine: every 6 weeks I use the aphogee two step protein treatment. The first three weeks after that I use protein free conditioners and leave ins. And then I just use protein products after those first three weeks till it’s time for the aphogee again. Every 10 weeks I dust my ends (or whenever I notice my ends are tangled). @Lola Blue No waiting period. You're welcome. 😁 Since you have been using no Lye, you most likely have calcium buildup and that is why your hair was breaking. @marierey11963 жыл бұрын
Try doing a homemade treatment. 1 egg, 2 tbsp mayonnaise, 2 tbsp honey, a little olive oil, a little avocado oil. Add some conditioner (I use shea moisture honey & yogurt protein conditioner) to create a creamy texture. I usually mix it well and pour it in a bottle for easier application because it can tend to be runny. Saturate your dry hair with the mixture and cover with a plastic cap for 45 minutes minimum. Wash and condition as usual. This should help with your breakage. Good luck
@lovelite67373 жыл бұрын
Girl you better invest in the Olaplex if you can’t get them all at least purchase the number 0 and the number 3 and use it every time you shampoo your hair, improvement you will see almost immediately, try it and and write me back and tell me how right I am, and most of all before doing ur hair say a prayer😊

I just relaxed my hair after 8 years and it's only been two days and I'm seeing long strands of hair falling out when I comb my hair , it's not a whole lot but I'm scared I don't want to start loosing hair then I deep conditioned it also after my relaxer but it still felt lil dry so I oil it with coconut oil and it made it better but I'm still getting a lil shedding with those long strands some short also . Do you think I should do a protein treatment or is this normal being I was natural for so many years

look at You tube rice water rinse or leave in for permed hair. You need to add moisture. I was dealing with this after perming and not anymore.

Lashun Nicholson Did you use white or brown rice? Does it work as good as a strong protein treatment?
@Lele39425 жыл бұрын
Lashun Nicholson Thank you I'm using moisturizer now plus I did a protein treatment so now I'm good it's just growing I only relax one it's been only two moths

Htown Finesse Sorry I hadn’t checked my messages but yes add moisture and it doesn’t matter what kind of rice you use! I’m glad you were able to figure it out! Good luck beautiful and I hope your hair grows beyond measure!💋

I relaxed my hair after 8 years being natural. I did some research beforehand, and decided that lye relaxer was the best option for me. I went to a professional and she used Affirm, which contains lye. My hair is very tangly and breaking off. I never experienced tangles like this when I used to perm my hair. Do you have any suggestions on how to correct this?

Don’t think that with going natural you won’t get breakage. That happends to every single texture.. even white people hair
