I would write my songs into my phone notes, but It's difficult to remember the subdivision of the syllables if you are trying to make complex patterns. Do you have any suggestion my guy? I honestly would just record your vocals before you end your session for that day so you don't forget your flow. I wouldn't try to create subdivisions like you see in this video. It's super tedious and may ruin your creative workflow. Thats a great tool to have and keep in mind when writing. I do find that writing, in that predictable way you describe, really lends itself to a melodic motif and when there is a slight variation in the 4th bar in the melody, its the best of both worlds bringing a complete and compelling lyrical/melodic structure. Post Malone is a great example of this. Excellent instruction, as always! 🙏🏼
