The overhead press from the blocks always makes me think of your 'angry pressing' video with Chris. I've seen a lot of content creators get weird, make odd changes to their content, or just disappear, but one of the saddest was Rich Piana, he pushed the limits of his body until he died.

I used to be a content creator, What ended up happening was I didn't really want to be popular... I started getting a lot of followers my emails would tell me +100 new subs in a day blahvlajvlah, after awhile I felt like I needed to back away and fade away slowly not posting videos and deleting shit slowly to not upset the for me masses that craved new videos, it was here on KZbin

Statistically, from January to end of March people go bonkers as it's the hardest financial time of the year regardless of industry as people splurged on Christmas, paying to survive through winter, and now either waiting on tax return or having to pay up a nice chunk. In content creation, this is the absolute worst time to have your life dependent upon ad revenue as it is the SLOWEST time of the year. In their mind, they go into a mental breakdown over constant adjustments to appease the algorithm and audience which you must be edgy to standout but risk getting banned or permanently demonetized. Screwed either way you look at it..

Yeah dude, I tried out making a channel that’s a secret still but has many hundreds more subs than this one and I was actually getting massive interaction and views but the pressure… being sensitive and hyper aware as I am already… yeah I could already have the foresight of going through those stages before I did. I couldn’t get myself to fake things or produce stuff just for the audience after I grew a following that expected certain content… so I just quit. I never did anything for views I just made things that I thought was interesting and was real and that’s what worked. It was an experiment. It would be nice if I could find some route… but anyway, since you asked about it… Before I go just want to say you’re doing a good job Elliot, trying to give my support for people I feel deserve that.

Mike Chang. His content i saw in 2012 was a bit helpful for some dumbbell shoulder training. A little while ago i was wondering what he's doing. Now his channel is focused all on function, longevity, being healthy in general and no really on lifting at all. It's an interesting change but i think he mentioned also getting burnt out and tired of having to maintain his physique for views and whatnot.

Been watching your mind grow for years now and this was much more of an informative video than most youtubers make out there. Big respect my dude. Burnout and the new age of attention is crazy, we're yet to fully see what happens when you're born into it and live an entire life around it. Slowly these studies will come out and we'll have a lot to learn from the front runners of such a new technological leap with social media. Looking forward to the swing to come back to real-ness and authenticity. keep doing you my friend. Impeccable insight as per.

I'm a creator... have a channel. What burns me out is the KZbin Algorithm... it blocks my channel from people seeing it in their feed!
@peterlightning9235
@peterlightning9235 5 ай бұрын
I think what burns creators out is they realize the more they upload, the better they do. So, they start working at a crazy speed. Then after a while things become stale because they never relax and come up with fresh new ideas. So, their videos start doing poorly. Then they start working at an even crazier speed to maintain their previous normal level of views. And it becomes a train wreck. I've watched youtube for a long time, and the channels that seem to stay around for a long time are the ones where the creator does not take his channel or content too seriously.

Definitely know what you're referring to. Started content creating in 2012, had many shifts in content, had my viral moments with media and eventually lost my damn mind LMAO had to take years off to "rebrand" because I was chasing the virality and the person I was at the time gaining views wasn't my true self. I'm all good now though and honestly I don't even care for the fame anymore let alone desire it.

I have a ton of ideas for videos, but my content is so all over the place that I don't even know what to do next. Paralysis by analysis as they say. I never got good at the "show and tell" side of social media. Instagram, Snapchat, Tik Tok, Twitter etc. I'm an introvert and prefer making longer form content, and I do a sh*t job of promoting myself as a result. As far as negative comments, it never gets to me if it's some random ad hominem. I just appreciate the positive ones and engage with the people who care about what I'm saying. People who hate for no reason have pretty sad lives in general, so they're the last people to have any power over me. The only people with the power to hurt me are the ones close to me in real life, not some random commenter on the internet. All I care about are the people who get something positive out of my content. They're the reason why I started creating.

I started watching Kali from the same time as Auntie Fee And As much as i loved her channel and Kali's, it was very obvious that their school of thought in diet choices were not sustainable but a personal result of absolutely working with what you got it was admirable, and sometimes brave, for all the wrong reasons. (RIP Auntie Fee) Another CC that i admired that passed was Bud Jeffries, who specialized in unconventional feats of strength. The guy went out while doing long winded heavy KB swings while going thru cov1d Strength Wars was an awesome concept and DVD worthy of a run if it were the early 2000s As im typing this im realizing a younger Elliot on Strength Wars woulda been epic

I’ve been creating content since 2009, starting with videos of my dogs, followed by vlogging about my journey of almost living full-time in an RV. I faced a couple of health challenges, which led me to try three different diets for 30 days each: keto, carnivore, and another diet and vlogging about it. Then, I landed a job creating social media content, which often involved being in front of the camera for the company’s videos. The cycle of receiving both negative and positive comments can be really challenging. Working in social media and creating content is part of the job, and although it can be frustrating at times, I also enjoy the process and appreciate the positive feedback. I recently started a new channel, hoping it would help with accountability and motivation to lose weight and keep it off. I often find myself checking comments anytime I want on my phone, but I like the idea of setting specific times to create and post content, and then a separate time to check comments. This way, I’m not constantly seeking out that feedback loop.

I'd say I'm a boutique content creator on IG with only ~449 followers. I mostly post lifting stuff. Each post gets ~30-50 likes and ~3-6 comments. Usually the same 2 or 3 people will comment on nearly every pot while new followers or random friends comment. I wouldn't' mind more engagement and becoming more popular with the sweet spot being ~2000 followers and 10-20 comments per weekly post. I also prefer minimally edited content where people just talk casually while not giving a monologue from a script. I also love long-form conversations featuring people from all walks of life. I think everyone has an interesting story to tell; it just takes the right interviewer to asks the right questions to get them to express themselves as candidly and as authentically as possible.

Front squats, lunges, overhead presses, rows, curls, flies, bench press (incline and flat if your bench adjust). Pullups and chin ups if you can. You can get a lot done with a couple adjustable dumbbells. You can do a lot with just your bodyweight. Don't let equipment be your limiter!

Being close to Jesus Christ and always have a prayer life can save you from alot of labeling and makes you avoid alot of new edge labels. Free expression is attacked alot by amateurish psychology users, that is basically old and overpassed by human mental evolution from the past 100 years, especially in this times. The so called fathers of modern psychology were very unilateral, and are being overpassed by the people that live in this days, by the speed of thought, alot more overseeing of the subconscious mind, and alot more wisdom in some mental areas. The mainstream society "book rats" that have no real life wisdom are starting to promovate over 100 years old psychology publicly. Alot of problems will appear from here one without a good connection with God. Be blessed, Elliot, Jesus awaits you.
