This is the best one yet! I'm a guitar player and I had no idea that there were other pull-down menus and a way to map smart controls - brilliant! Also, the explanation of the uses of the splitter utility pedal was great too. Thanks!

good work! Everything else is so colorful, I never paid any attention to the splitter/mixer. 👍 And that hack to change the model using the smart controls inspector. 👍👍👍

Maybe in the next upgrade we'll be able to turn off the cabinet and use our own impulse responses of choice? And they really need to add Diezel and ENGL amps!

Hi there any idea why I get so much noise with the Logic Pedalboard. I only have an i3 processor and 8 GB RAM on my Mac Mini. Could that be the culprit. Or something else? Any advice would we welcome. Thanks!

I am planning to buy a Squier by Fender Affinity Stratocaster. I want to know if I can get a great sound quality by just connecting it to my audio interface and simply using Logic's virtual amps and pedals or I need any hardware like a multiprocessor, a pedal, or a DI box to make it sound clean? Also, I have tried these amps and pedals with my acoustic guitar with DI to my audio interface; however, it sounds too raw and distorted. Can you suggest me something to fix this issue?
@mlhbro3 жыл бұрын
If you have an interface that lets you select between "line" and "instrument" input types, you should be fine without anything else. For example, I have a Focusrite Scarlett 4i4. If I'm plugging in my guitar, I just make sure the input is set to "INST" so that the signal will be lifted to line level. Without that feature, I'd have to run my guitar through a DI box, then into the interface, otherwise the signal would sound super thin, noisy, and generally crappy. If your interface doesn't have this feature, I strongly recommend the Scarlett 2i2. It's nice to not have to fiddle with a bunch of extra hardware just to plug in your guitar and start playing.

When Guitar Amp Pro sounds better than Amp Designer. Seriously, Pedal Board and Amp Designer sound ok on anything but guitars. Logic are lacking severly on these plugins when it comes to the quality of the sounds. Also, get a Metal Drummer happening already. Great Metal bass and guitar plugins along with a metal drummer will put Logic ahead of every other DAW.

pity that logic can't give us a decent amp sim even in 2020. amp designer blows. it's a cpu hog. and it blows. and its bad. bad. bad.
