You go Rebecca! She is doing such a great job on cross-examination. She’s very precise, which is thwarting many points defendant’s attorney is attempting to make. Her one mistake was the type of gun she had the concealed carry for. I love how she says, “Incorrect” when defense attorney tries to lead her into an inaccurate statements.

@Stefanie Ella And I am very surprised that prosecution didn’t try to rehabilitate her almost off-hand agreement with defense counsel that John Miller was standing between her and defendant. Actually, the way I understood direct testimony was that when she walked to put tool away, Miller moved to his right so that he was by drivers-side front, lights, fender, or even door. We’ll find out more when he testifies. The defense is paper thin bs.

This case is an age old story, so very sad and frustrating, the most dangerous time for the victim of intimate partner violence is when they finally have had enough and decide to leave for good, the abuser realises they’re losing their power over the victim and the only way to regain control is by harming the one person they supposedly loved and or their loved ones.

Seems like the defense attorney is asking her to confirm every obsessive thought the defendant has been running through his head over the years about how he thinks Rebecca has wronged him. For example, that a couple have discussions about insurance beneficiary status means she is after his money. It seems so counterproductive to his case, everyone on the jury with life insurance, etc has likely had a similar conversation without nefarious intent. Perhaps the attorney is doing it so the defendant can't claim he didn't present a competent defense. Rebecca didn't get defensive about things that were being presented as something she did wrong, like the assumption she was driving the Tahoe that was damaged; very impressive.

Just asking: is it normal for Wisconsin courtrooms for people who take the stand to have all the exhibits at their exposal? I never encountered this in other trials, usually the exhibit is shown (also for the jury), and the witness has to look at it via a screen or so, perhaps also to prevent browsing through all of the paperwork that this witness is constantly doing now.

1:19:12 Ooh Rebecca lied and the defence missed it!!. She says Josh asked for Johns number, and "John said it was ok" but she has maintained all along that she wasn't with John, during the call, she didn't hear the conversation and didn't know what Josh had said to John!! Watch her face when she realises..

Perhaps she called John before giving his number out? 🤷🏻 or perhaps she spoke to John after Josh and John's conversation? What are you driving at? The defense attorney is trying to catch her making inconsistencies in her testimony. She is solid.

@Stefanie Ella I didn't hear any "tripping up" of the witness. I only heard the defense trying to trip her up but he was making no sense.

@Stefanie Ella perhaps you should listen to the prosecution re cross regarding the "strategically placed" weapons in the context of the full text conversion. Evidently it was a joke.

@@KaktusLady So how did she know what Josh said to him? And she clearly said she asked John could Josh call him, John said yes. With no record of a call or text between Rebecca and John, how is this possible?
