Wichita Then and Now

We've been wanting to make this video for quite some time. Just a little bit of history for those who don't know or like to reminisce! This week we take a look at some of Wichita's oldest and most historic buildings.
P.S. We clean a few of them =)

Geesh...haven't ANYTHING change! I was born and raised in Wichita but I've literally been gone for 20 years! I could imagine how I would feel if I was to go back. It would probably feel like if I was going back in time literally! But say, ain't no place like home❤️❤️❤️

I was born in 77, moved there in around 79-80. Left in the mid 80s for Memphis. My gosh, Wichita has always had my heart. It was the place of my formative years. Even tho I'm black, I never felt racial tension there, not even when we moved out to Derby by 84. Wichita will forever be my home, and I am relocating there in 2 yrs. Wichita, I'm coming home.

The library just got moved to a new spot. I used to go to all the car shows at century two and my mma gym is in the Delano district

Yrs ago I drove by the city building when the clock tower was on fire. I wish I had a camera it was a stunning & oddly beautiful sight to behold. Thx for uploading this (nice work)

When I saw the old photo of Union Station my thought was, "bet that place is gone!" Much to my surprise the old station still exists. I can't imagine passenger trains depart from it anymore as I don't think there is any railroad passenger service to Wichita. So what purpose is the Union Station now? Nobody seems to know!

They have one on the 24th floor of the Garvey Building. I lived in a penthouse apartment on the 25th floor, best views of Wichita ever!

@@TwiggyKeely Hunny I want something more than double the height of the Garvey Center. Wichita needs to go big. Every major city in the Midwest has a building or icon that is 600+ feet tall except for South Dakota and North Dakota. Our tallest building is the Epic Center and is 385 feet to the tip of the iconic sloped roof.

Only difference is the 1960 photos were black and white. The town looks very much the same.
