Makaveli was the album that only people on a certain intellectual level understood the greatness of. That album was so different and still is from any other hip hop album that was ever done and it told a story. One of the lyrics that stuck with me, and all of them did, was on Blasphemy. When he slipped in the line "God's coming she's just taking her time " and then chuckled I was like, how did he think of saying that. He was paying respect to women and making you think about the fact there are so many opinions on who God is, he made you think, hey, why couldn't it be a woman. Hail Mary without a doubt, to me, was his masterpiece. It summed up everything you needed to know about who he was. every song on that album was just so damned clever and one song just bled into the next. Like they said it was biblical and he was the poetic prophet telling this once in a lifetime story. It just hit different. Then factor in that you hear the people that were there telling the stories of how he would write like 5 or 6 of these masterpieces in one studio session. Lastly, I know so many people that don't even listen to hip hop love all of Tupac's work, and I'm talking about young and old and, all races and any other cross section of society. '

I love unpredictable, but I think precise beats was better than BEATS BY THE POUND. And they definitely gave mystikal some of their best beats, but for him to put together an album of such quality before he got to no limit is crazy. Mystikal was a lyrical FOOL and he CAME out the gate hard af on Mind of Mystikal! They got like 3 different versions of that album but the one on Jive is just an overall solid ass project to me.
