I love the homie B High and this platform! That stated, Wicked is 💯 percent correct on this! I’m from New York City and I’m going to keep it a buck! When the DOC dropped his classic single It’s Funky Enough in 1989, he put the entire rap game on notice and shook up the world! His flow, delivery, voice, good looks and charisma made him a bonafide rap star! Something that was damn near impossible to do for an emcee NOT from New York City 🏙 Although, NYC doesn’t carry the weight it used to in Hip Hop, every rapper not from NYC back in the day wanted the stamp of approval from New York City rappers. That’s facts! The DOC got major props from coast to coast! Pimp C is and was a regional star. Scarface through time showed he was one of the greatest and resonated bigger than Pimp C on the east coast. The DOC to Wicked’s point, came out the gate on 🔥 and like he said in his own words, No One Can Do It Better! The DOC car accident destroyed what was on the verge of being a Top 10 hip hop legendary solo career. I truly believe that based upon what was in motion before the tragic accident. However, it may have changed rap music as we know it because he became the architect of Death Row once he lost his voice! Facts 💯🎶 B High, keep up the great work bro! D.O.C. is incredible and deserves more credit. But, DOC made his name in LA, not necessarily Texas.

THE D.O.C. killed the game when he came out . He didn't get a chance to really blossom like we thought he was . His future was VERY BRIGHT until his accident .

Wick is right. Scott Storch didn't come around til after The Chronic. Dre also has a few hits without his help. Dre produced the whole N.W.A., D.O.C. and most of The Chronic. He also mentored Scott Storch. I like DJ Paul and Juicy J but they're not even on the level of Timbaland, Kanye and Pharrell.

BHigh trippin. Wicked you didn’t mention Dre’s production with Snoop “Deep Cover”. Dre is the greatest. One of the first producers to produce whole classic albums. Later in his career others contributed or produced for him but it doesn’t take away from his GOAT status. Great show and debate nonetheless. Oh yeah, don’t sleep on Mannie Fresh
