Don’t forget: the coachman from Pinocchio is also considerably one of the darkest. He lures unsuspecting boys to Pleasure Island, then turns them into donkeys just for profit. And he’s got people like Honest John and Gideon caught up in the act, too. He doesn’t even get punished for his actions once. However, I can bet that he didn’t make it onto the list because he barely gets any screen time at all.

I think that Scroop in Treasure Planet should've been included because he's such a sick, twisted, cruel, cold-hearted, and psychotic monster with a never-ending lust for blood. He'd mercilessly kill anyone without a second thought, especially to those who provoke and intimidate him. It's very evident with his two attempts to murder Jim Hawkins and his successful assassination of Mr. Arrow, which he gets Jim falsely-blamed for Arrow's untimely demise. Not only that, but he also tried to expose John Silver over his father and son-like friendship with Jim, in front of the entire pirate gang, indicating that Scroop wants Silver dead as well by retaliation just for being a big ol' softy.

Judge Claude Frollo is one of the worst villains ever created in all of fiction. He tortured multiple less fortunate people, killed Quasimodo's mother, raised Quasimodo to think he's a monster saying society will never like him, had this obsession with Esmeralda, and of course tried to kill Esmeralda burning her at the stake. It was great when he finally got what he deserved going to hell for all the unrighteous acts he's committed, and thought he was a man of true faith, but really wasn't.😒🔥🗡😈

The ancient pirate Captain Flint from Treasure planet, while having barely any screen time at all, could also be argued to be among the darkest villains, just from the sheet fact that he looted thousands of worlds, and then booby trapped his stash on his deathbed so that the whole planet would explode if anyone ever tried to get the loot

Agree 100% However an honorable mention I think goes to Professor Ratigan. He would kill his followers on a whim with no remorse or second thought He literally built a saw trap He plotted the murder of the queen and completely take over of an entire country And once he was foiled he completely snapped, and was legitimately out for blood and was ready to claw Basil to pieces. I am convinced that if the great mouse detective wasn’t a Disney film and had a more mature rating. The final battle between Ratigan and Basil would’ve probably looked more like one of the mauling scenes from Cujo

Disney Villains I consider the darkest: Mother Gothel kidnapped an infant Rapunzel to use her magic hair to retain her youth, psychologically and emotionally abusing her to control her, and as revealed in the animated show abandoned her biological daughter Cassandra after stealing the princess, along with stabbing Flynn Rider when he comes to rescue Rapunzel King Candy a.k.a. Hook should have been on this list in at least top 5,his main goal is to kill a child,he almost blows up said child,he was going to make multiple children walk the plank,and would have killed Wendy if pan didn’t save her,he’s a very intelligent person and great sword fighter,he always sticks to his promises but yet still finds a way around them,he kills multiple of his own pirates for no reason other than they were being annoying,he’s incredibly hot headed,he has amazing aim with a gun,he’s one of the most feared pirates in the 7 seas,he has most likely killed and plundered hundreds of people (including women and children), he’s a pirate so that already makes him pretty evil,and he physically abuses his men

GREAT LIST.... but you forgot the darkest and most realistic Villain ever... MOTHER GOTHEL! She kidnapped a baby, raised her in a pool of lies and gaslighting, going so far as to murder (and succeed with Flynn Ryder) to get Rapunzel back and keep herself young forever. She does not care AT ALL for her "foster child", is constantly belittling, lying and even insulting to her, and she is even scarier once you know, that those people exist out there, which makes it even more messed up! Think about this: If she is willing to do this... what happens when Rapunzel grows older? Does she give her powers to her children, and if so... what is Gothel going to do? Gothel has become my favourite Villain, topping Maleficent, Cruella and Frollo, just by how fun she is... and how DARK she is! ^^

Who's the most messed up Disney Villain? Oh brother, there's so many to choose from, but I definitely think it's a tie between Judge Claude Frollo and Clayton. These two are so cold hearted while the latter is hunting gorillas and even shot Kerchak while the former did the most unspeakable horror ever: Killing Quasimodo's mom, lusting over Esmeralda, burning half of Paris, and so much more. I'm glad you addressed Rourke, he is quite possibly the worst of them all. I mean the guy was going to commit GENOCIDE for profit (he was the main inspiration behind Miles Quaritch in Avatar as well).. I'd say he may be a tie with Frollo and Shan Yu due to his genocidal tendencies. Frollos is basically Adolf Hitler or Donald Trump of Disney - he genuinely believes he is the good guy, a trait he does share with Gaston from Beauty and The Beast. This is actually what makes them so realistic - they see themselves as good.
