Wideband vs. Megasquirt: Different AFR??? (BoostVlog 4)

Hey everyone! I've been asked this question at least a dozen times, hopefully this video helps some of you out. It's very important that MS is getting accurate information, or else your tune won't be any good!

Thats not necessary correct. All youve done is adjust the linear line to intersect and read properly at 14.3....what about at 11.0 for instance? The ending of the video should have mentioned that this needs to be verified at lowest AFR and highest AFR. That 1v at 9.7.....you havent even touched that...so at low end of the scale it might still be off. Next question is, how much do you trust innovate? There's talk of innovate being a full point off when compared back to back with AEM....

The problem with calibrating like that is the slope will be wrong. At 14.2 you are more or less accurate however you'll find that on over-run and full boost you'll be off again. You need to go into LM Programmer and see exactly what the slope is. As posted below the stock setting on one of the outputs is 0V=7.35 & 5V=22.39. I use 0.5V=8 & 5V=22. This makes 14.7 ~2.66VDC. You can set the error state in your LC-2 or w/e controller you have to 0.3V. This is listed under the advanced button, click program a lot. You cannot leave any screen without hitting program or your changes will be lost. In Tunerstudio you set the error reporting to less that 0.4V. This allows almost full range of the sensor and error reporting. I also set the startup initializing to 2.66V. This is more important for factory ECU's when you are simulating a NB so it doesn't throw off your LTT on a hot motor.

I ended up grounding the wideband to the intake manifold and that helped a bunch. Then when none of the default settings worked, I painstakingly created by own custom inc file and now I'm only .1 to .2 off at anypoint throughout the range.

you could reprogram the lc1-lc2,to match the megasquirt..lc-1 -lc2 comes program to read from 7.0-22.0(on the wide band output) verses tuner studio 10.0 - 21.0.just reprogram the narrow band out to 10.0-21.0 ,to match turner studio

I chased this problem for about a week. Tried every ground I could buy no luck.. Turns out the stock o2 sensor was the problem. After I unplugged the narrow band everything was good!

Did you ground your Innovate MTX-L to PIN 7 , which is the same pin as the IAT , TPS and CLT sensor returns?
