In April of 2018 my dear wonderful aunt sadly passed away after a long battle against ALS, she promised herself and everyone that she would stay alive to see her kids graduate high school and to be there for them until then. And she did. She was a badass and became a nationally known spokesperson for ALS here in Norway. I'm so touched that you're dedicating this build to the awareness around this disease, and I wish your uncle the best. The car is awesome and you're an absolute champion for turning this out so quick and so well, despite the rush, this is your highest quality product ever.

My brother in law lost his battle to ALS 30 years ago😔 He worked on a farm most of his life & when he was unable to continue to work on the farm, the family he worked for told him he could continue to live in the house that he was in on the farm & they continued to give him a weekly pay check even though he wasn't able to perform any work for them. I think this was the coolest thing. They said to him that they feel like he is part of their family. Love your work & love what this build stands for. God bless🙏⛪

My father was diagnosed with ALS around 9 years ago. He past away last June. It’s truly a terrible disease. Thank you for spreading awareness. The Gleason foundation help us as well. I’m pretty sure there the one that let him barrow a computer that you could talk through by just using his eyes but he never got to use it. I’ll be thinking of your uncle.

THIS is why this channel is my favorite! It isn't just the innovative builds, or that you are so honest about problems when they occur -- it's that you show how amazing it is to give back! Prayers for your Uncle Herb - what a wonderful tribute and unique way to honor him and to help in the fight against ALS.

Saw you apply (what looked like) adhesion promoter on to the repaired mirrors... Next time sand the mirrors all the way down to bare plastic, then (depending if the plastic grade is sandable) progress from mid to fine to ultra fine grades (no need for finer than 2400's necessary). Next spray adhesion promoter, let air dry, room temp, low humidity. Then auto primer, then paint. Followed by wet sand, addtl. coat, wetsand again, then clear coat. Repeat wet sand process for clear coat. You'll get a better looking, more reliable finish on your mirrors, or any other repaired plastic. What you did is going to start flaking off the moment it gets knicked... or over a long enough period of time.

You may be missing the point of this channel. He's not trying to get to SEMA, he's just making cars in his garage. ANYONE can do it. That is the mission statement here, I believe.
@1one3_Racing2 жыл бұрын
@@StaredownGames I get that. And I appreciate that he's having a go and working on a budget. That's why I watch and support the channel. But it does get pretty painful to watch sometime. The messy workspace. The slapdash fixes. Not learning from mistakes. I'm entirely self taught. From composites to roll cage fab to building race engines. I sell my product so it has to be too notch. I'm proof that with enough effort, research and care, that you can turn out a winning product for very little cash and no formal training.
