She is a great, competitive player who has managed to survive being in the spotlight from a very young age. I think she has to an extent been let down by coaches as her game is so much only about power. They should have been teaching her a wide variety of shots and making the most of her abilities. In a few years, she is likely to get injured and if she only has a power game, she will fade.

I didn’t think I’d find another player who excited me as much as Serena did when she played, but that damn Coco Gauff WHEW 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 not comparing her to Serena at all, but the excitement factor is there for me and I appreciate it. Idk about anybody else, but I was devastated when Serena’s career came to a close, especially as a tennis player myself. I lost motivation and passion to play…but Coco is seemingly reigniting the flame for tennis for me 🥰🫶🏾

Love watching our black queens play tennis and bring a variety of flavor into the sport. I have been watching tennis ever since Venues and Sarina Williams made the sport exciting to watch because before they came aboard tennis was boring. Coco has been getting better as she has gotten older and she still can become more dominant in tennis like the Williams sisters. Keep on believing in yourself Coco and you will reach your potential.

I really hope Gauff will win grand slam title this year! She needs to capitalise on that rise in form in the fall season of 2024 and bring some of that flair into 2025! I personally want to see her winning Wimbledon more than anything else, but maybe at this stage of her career it's a little too early, a title at AO or yet another USO both seem more likely...whatever she wins i hope it happens in 2025!

Hate to say it but Fernandez has not improved since she made the finals of USO 3 years ago. Her game is a mess and she really needs to hire a more elite coach to work with. She tried going toe-to-toe with Coco and hit through her and when that didn’t work her game collapsed. Coco continues her winning ways from the end of last season winning YEC. It’s going to be an interesting AO and I give Coco the 3rd favourite to win the title after Rybakina and Sabalenka. Congrats on the win Coco.

Well… this a tune up for the AO. Coco decided not to play the Auckland tourney this year that she had won 2 consecutive years. She said she wanted to play the United Cup to play a higher level of tennis players to better prepare her for the AO so she can see what she needs to improve on. I do know in years past her confidence was not there. Hopefully even just winning matches in the United Cup will give her more confidence. If they win the whole whole thing that would be awesome although it would be quite challenging to pull off but who knows. Congrats Coco.
